He means that development of WinAmp 3 has discontinued. WA2 is being updated to support WA3's extra features (video, media library), and WinAmp 5 (2+3=5) is the main new development. Hi, Just wanted to clarify, can icecast2 not read OR broadcast any mp3, or can it just not broadcast mp3 (but still play from a playlist)? I know the quality would be dropped if it had to reencode them though. And what's up with that POS Winamp3, it doesn't even play gg streams?!? I use xmms, but we have winamp3 on a demo computer, it just sits and keeps prebuffering. I need something

When I copy the winamp 3 plugin into the appropriate winamp folder, and start winamp, Winamp complains that it cannot find MSVCRTD.DLL Was the plugin mistakenly compiled as Debug and shipped that way? Any way for me to get the winamp3 plugin that isn't debug? I do not have MSVC++ to recompile it. -Justin

Give a hint please how to compile winamp plugins. After ./configure && make I see no .dll and no .wac files in the source tree at all :( What am I doing wrong? I just tried installing the flac plugin for Winamp 3, and Winamp reports that, "This application has failed to start because MSVCRTD.dll was not found." The fact that it's trying to link against MSVCRTD.dll rather than MSVCRT.dll suggests that the plugin was built in debug mode; most Windows installations won't have MSVCRTD.dll unless Visual Studio is installed. ,steven.

Just a quick email to say looks like someone needs help: http://albumlist.sourceforge.net/ the newest version of the plugin for wa2 says it supports OGG- it doesnt, it just automatically adds "OGG" to the list of file types to scan. If OGG were supported, then the plugin would correctly display the times for the albums. Which it doesnt (at least on my pc). Anywoo, just thought someone

I was interested in the range support / stream seeking on static files, since that would be a really useful feature for my clients.
