Icecast2 Configuration
I think I figured everything out on my own, BUT it gives me this error each time I attempt to play a stream (using WinAmp's oddcast plugin). I have made sure multiple times that the passwords in the Icecast config file & oddcast config box are both the same! Icecast2 Configuration
If you are getting "login with invalid or missing password" it means one of a few things : * you have not selected Icecast2 as the server type in the DSP config * you are not using the most current versions of both icecast2 and oddcast (http://www.oddsock.org/icecast2 for that) * you are using the most current oddcast, but have <icylogin>1</icylogin> in your icecast2

configuration & error help
Hi everybody, just a new face showing up looking for a little help configuring IceCast. Just installed the software with a few other programs in an attempt to start off my own internet radio station. Using SimpleCast to take the line-in and stream it to IceCast, which in-turn does the obvious and streams it to the internet. I'm looking at just creating a station of just 5 max users (for

icecast2 sources
adam wrote: > have the icecast 2 sources moved? does anyone know the current download > url? There's no direct URL to the sources, you have to fetch them from CVS. Look at http://www.xiph.org/cvs.html for further information and read the file HACKING in the icecast module about further helper lib you need to download and how to build the thing. There will be an alpha release of

No sound on any stream.
I have 2 icecast servers and neither will play music, 1 gentoo, the other ubuntu when connect to a mount and trying to broadcast via mixxx using both mp3 or ogg. Both will establish a stream feed but appears to have no sound. One of them won't even stream a ices2 mounted song either (same symptom, connect but no actual play occurs). Error logs are clean too, firewall is turned off on both

No sound on any stream.
I figured out half the issue. Icecast appears to be transmitting on port 8000 just fine. The more I dig, the more I realize icecast is fine. Browser vlc seems to be broke. Direct connect via VLC standalone to -> http://66.228.49.182:8000/66.228.49.182.ogg.m3u works perfect. http://tinypic.com/r/2yl1qhc/6 I break there. Thank you! icecast2 mountpoints maximum
We are using icecast as stream-relay for a true narrowcast solution we've developed. The idea behind the system is that each individual client gets it's own mountpoint. Basically we have an application that creates streams. Its written in c++ and uses libshout to handle connecting to icecast. Everything works fine, as long as we keep the number of mountpoints below 347. As soon as we

Problem with fallback on 2.31 on Windows XP
If this isn't supported, then I apologize for the disruption, I'll just tell my customer / client / friend it's time to seriously rethink what they're trying to do. If support is possible, here's the problem: I took a running icecast.xml file from a configuration that works. It has live, backup, and listener (called /broadband) mount points. A continuously running stream

vobris icecast 2
hi, I am trying to get Vorbis streaming from live input to a icecast2 (win32) server. I am doing this on my local 192.168.22.x network. I can get oddcastDSP encoder to stream to the icecast server. It makes a source connection and I can see this is the Icecast2 Win32 Server Stats window. I can also see the KB sent in the oddcastDSP window. However I have the following problems: 1. I cant make a

streaming Vorbis: trials & errors with Icecast 2
Greetings: Okay, here's where I'm at so far. Icecast 2 builds without problems. I edit the icecast.xml config file as seen in the server output below: [root@localhost icecast]# icecast -c conf/icecast.xml <?xml version="1.0"?> <icecast> <location>DLP_House_Of_Sound</location> <admin>dlphilp@bright.net</admin> <limits>

ice2 CVS build problems under Solaris 7
Hi: If you want to use icecast 2 for streaming vorbis audio then don't get it from the CVS repository at icecast.org. That's ancient developer stuff in there. Instead get it from the xiph.org CVS repository (see http://www.xiph.org/cvs.html which I see now lists the icecast stuff (yay!). You'll need the icecast module plus the avl, httpp, log, net, thread and timing modules (check
