icecast2, libshout2, Shout.pm FreeBSD
Hi all, Has anyone successfully managed to get icecast2 libshout2 and Shout.pm built under freebsd? o far I've been able to build all of them except for Shout.pm. I would like to migrate from icecast1 however I can't do so until I can get everything built. Here is the error I'm having trying to build Shout.pm from the FreeBSD ports tree. # make cc -c -I/usr/local/include -O -pipe

<fileserve>
Hi, While digging through the icecast2 xml configuration I noticed the option <fileserve>1</fileserve>. From what I could tell this is a totally undocumented feature and was wondering what exactly it was used for. <p> -- Colin Faber (303) 736-5160 fpsn.net, Inc. * Black holes are where God divided by zero. * --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/

Icecast installation
Hi there, Is anyone available to help install an Icecast suite for me? By suite I mean Icecast, Ices (or some other way to stream static files), and Icedir (a directory server). Please e-mail me if you'd like to help (either for "thank you" or pay). Thanks, and best wishes. Sincerely, Katim --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:

Understanding lustre setup ..
Hello, I have been reading http://wiki.lustre.org/images/1/1b/Hadoop_wp_v0.4.2.pdf for setting up Hadoop over lustre. Generally in hadoop setup, we have 1 Namenode and various number of datanodes. If I want to setup the same keeping Lustre as backend, in the document it is mentioned that: ".............Our experiments run on cluster with 8 nodes in total, one is mds/namenode, the rest are

files-from and filter from one file?
Hi, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have tried millions of combinations of settings. Is it possible to somehow combine --files-from and --filter into one file, so that I can use one here-document? Using the + directive in --filter seems to always give me slightly different results. What I do now is without --files-from, but it means the directory tree is not recreated on the

moving functions between namespaces
Hi all, I'm a newbie wrt R but that's okay, since I don't do any programming in R. What I do need to do is to administrate the activites of an R programmer, so my questions will be related to adminning R as opposed to statistcal programming. I hope that's okay with y'all. :-) I've been through most of the docs that I could find (the PDFs, StatsRUs, etc.) and I've

What to do with ODD encoder for AudioGrabber Cd-Ripper ?
Once i've run into misfeature. I've grabbed an Audio CD with one of russian opera's, and its comment been wirttenas a 8-bit ANSI text. When i tried to play them in WnAMP - the comments were unreadable. Peter (the author of WinAMP OGG plugin) told me, that the comments must be encoded using UTF-8. I wrote it to the author of AudioGrabber and he told me he will forward it to plugin

Why doesn't yp.icecast.org show my stream?
[Reposted here, silence on the icecast list, is this deliberate?] Once again, I'm clueless as to what is going on because I don't have the source or logs to yp.icecast.org. logging messages
Hi all, I'm trying to learn R from an non-statistician's POV. I've got a statistician who uses R, but I'm the schmuck who has to integrate his R functions into an automated process. One of the things I would really like is the ability to log messages to file, specifically using syslog on a Linux box. (I also want to write messages to STDOUT based on a command-line flag, but I

Passwordless SSH messes with escaped spaces
Hi, I'm trying to use rsync through ssh to pull files from PCs that need to be backup up. I set up the passwordless authentication and things work fine there. However there's a problem when I try to seal off the SSH access to restrict it to limited rsync only using the "command=" in authorized_keys. That by itself works, however not in combination with spaces in the file names.
