Relay of title info
Hi Icecast users! I have a Debian box running with Icecast 1.3.11, installed from package icecast-server 1:1.3.11-4.3 from the unstable tree. It's purpose is to relay a bunch of stations using the alias functionality. It all works like a charm except the title information. When relaying stations like Groove Salad from soma.fm WinAMP doesn't show the title info. In my icecast.conf

[PATCH] is it of any interest ?
Hi, While looking at icecast's sources, I wondered if this was feasible, so I've tried and it seems to work: the attached patch allows a /cgi-bin/ url in icecast-1.3.11 to launch cgi scripts directly from within icecast. you have to put the real absolute pathname to the cgi script, and it seems to more or less work. WARNING: you must use two slashes after "cgi-bin" for an

TuneIn Won't Record from my Icecast Relays
? Icecast is running on Windows. ? I can successfully listen to the relay via TuneIn, but I cannot record from the relay. The record button, in TuneIn, is disabled when I play the relay in TuneIn. Playing the actual source (provided in my initial email), the record feature is enabled in TuneIn. ? TuneIn is running on iOS 8.4.1. ? The result is the same if I point TuneIn Pro to the stream or

Push relay from nicecast with icecast2?
i don't think anyone has really answered his question yet, so i'll give it a shot. from what you have said i think you are misunderstanding something. the customer that is running nicecast does not need any kind of server on his machine, all he would have to do is tell nicecast to stream to your server as for the archived content, all thet would be required is to run ices on the server

is there a way to do a "push relay"?
perhaps a little difficult to explain - please bear with me. We use 2 icecast servers. server1 is managed by us, server2 by our service provider. Therefore it's easy to make config changes to server1, less easy for server2. I generate a stream using edcast, and send it to both servers. Sometimes I do this by creating 2 streams within edcast, sometimes I just send the stream to server2, and

Push relay from nicecast with icecast2?
Greetings, Ok, success. I understand now that what I thought was a relaying server was actually a source client. This was not really clear and caused me a great deal of confusion. My fault.... <must remember to remove head from posterior prior to project commencement> However, I found something interesting that needs to be documented. I was using a password of radi0 with the source

Help understanding why glm and lrm.fit runs with my data, but lrm does not
Dear all, I am using the publically available GustoW dataset. The exact version I am using is available here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4oZ2TQA0PAoUm85UzBFNjZ0Ulk I would like to produce a nomogram for 5 covariates - AGE, HYP, KILLIP, HRT and ANT. I have successfully fitted a logistic regression model using the "glm" function as shown below. library(rms) gusto <-

retrieve most abundant species by sample unit
Hi R-users: [R 2.2 on OSX 10.4.3] I have a (sparse) vegetation data frame with 500 rows (sampling units) and 177 columns (plant species) where the data represent % cover. I need to summarize the cover data by returning the names of the most dominant and the second most dominant species per plot. I reduced the data frame to omit cover below 5%; this is what it looks like stacked. I have

Push relay from nicecast with icecast2?
Darrel, Thanks for the help. I'm presuming then that I've misunderstood what is meant by "pull" vs. "push". I understood, I guess erroneously, that the context of 'push' relaying was from the perspective of the icecast2 receiving a 'pushed' stream. I believe now that I have this backwards, and that the context is from the part of icecast2 not being

ant RPM for CentOS 4
Attempting to build OpenOffice 2 on CentOS 4 from rawhide (future FC5) SRPM. The spec file has EL4 target (which is nice), and I got almost all dependencies in place (mostly from 4.2beta and some from rawhide). However, I'm missing the ant package. Ant from rawhide doesn't compile since it is already gcc 4 based (fails on dependencies, getting it to use gcc4 instead of gcc seems like

How to ship R scripts with R packages ?
Hello, (This is a remix of this previous thread: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2009-August/054264.html , but with a concrete example) I am developing some packages that contain scripts (for Rscript) and would like to know what is the best/recommended way to ship these scripts. An example is the "ant" package (R capable version of apache ant, see http://tr.im/xHLs). The
