Icecast installation
Hi there,
Is anyone available to help install an Icecast suite for me? By suite I mean
Icecast, Ices (or some other way to stream static files), and Icedir (a
directory server). Please e-mail me if you'd like to help (either for "thank
you" or pay).
Thanks, and best wishes.
Sincerely,
Katim

Logging the CID from the Privacy Manager
Hi folks,
My v1.6 Asterisk system logs all Call Detail Records to a PostgreSQL
database, including those handled by the Privacy Manager.
Unfortunately, even though I can use the CLI to see the information
being submitted by anonymous callers to satisfy the demands of the the
Privacy Manager, that information is not recorded in the database.
Instead, all that is written to it:

suggestion: add mp3 support to ices2
It says here there hasn't been much interest in handling mp3 with ices2:
http://www.icecast.org/files/ices_docs/faq.html
I just wanted to mention that I'm interested in doing so. I use ices
for a web-based jukebox project called Tunez. I have tried the other
suggested icecast streamers and have had major problems with both of
them (muse and liveice). It would be really cool if the

Adobe Photoshop uses wrong permissions when saving
That doesn't help my version of the problem, though. My create mask is 701,
but Photoshop is creating files with permissions 777.

Linking streaming mp3 on the web
I have a redhat 9 box with darkice installed and a
freeBSD 5.3 box running icecast. Both boxes are up
and running and the mp3 stream is working great. The
only problem i'm having is figuring out a way to link
the mp3 stream on my webpage that will allow users to
easily click on a link and have their media player
open. I can open my media player, go to the open URL
dialog and enter my URL,

Sad news about JW Schultz
I was saddened to learn today that JW Schultz was found dead back on
March 27th of this year. JW was a big help in the recent development of
rsync and I sorely missed his presence during the last release cycle.
JW was also the author of the Dirvish backup software, and Keith
Lofstrom (who provided me with the sad news) has plans to put some
memorial information onto the new dirvish site as

MP3 decoding, fading and streaming at the same time
Hi There,
I have just ported to Linux a program that I wrote years ago in Prolog
under DOS to automate our Shortwave radio station. Back in 1990 the
original program used ADPCM coded audio files and a special board. Now I
can use MP3 files and a Soundblaster compatible card ;-) under Linux, and
it runs from a console without any fancy interface. I absolutely need to
fade-in and fade-out

Playlist containing both MP3 and OGG
Hello,
I have both MP3 and OGG in my hard drive, since I used to use MP3 encoding and
now I'm trying to move to OGG vorbis. I am wondering if there's a way to
stream a playlist containing both MP3 and OGG files. As far as I understand
from reading the doc, Ices-0.4 and Ices2 can only stream MP3 and OGG files
respectively. So I just installed both. But is there a trick or something

live streaming
Hi list,
I am wanting to stream audio live to my sound card, have it compressed on the fly and sent to my
icecast server.
I had a look at darkice (http://darkice.sourceforge.net) but I didn't seem to be able to get that to
work, the stream skipped seriously and no config options or different encoder I used managed to get it
sounding normal.
The machine I am using to do the live encoding

icecast + liveice won't play nicely
Kerry. I would like to get a copy of this document which you speak of. I
have had generic trouble in getting livice properly installed and think that
would do the trick...

[PATCH 0/5] Allow multiple targets to be disabled
Hi,
This patchet allows a few targets to be disabled when unrequired.
The rational is coming from VLC's contrib buildsystem, so far we use make -C to select only some subparts of the available targets.
It would be easier and cleaner to use autoconf to do so IMHO.
There's an additional patch which fixes the build when building for WinRT/UWP platform, upstreamed from VLC.
We have a couple

Tracking time-varying objects with the DLM package (dynamic linear models in R)
Hello all,
I am working with the dlm package, specifcially doing a dlm multivariate Y
linear regression using
dlmModReg and dlmFilter and dlmSmooth...
I have altereted the inputs into dlmModReg to make them time-varying using
JFF, JW etc.
How do I track the results of the time varying system matrices?
For example what I am really interested in is JW - my system variance matrix
for each time
