Icecast 2: planned stuff.
Hi there.
I had a look at how icecast 2 works after having been pleased by how
icecast 1 worked.
I succesfully made it work on a debian woody (for those interested at
how i did it http://melmoth.dyndns.org/stream/ It's in french yet).
I was however disapointed a bit by not finding the admin console I used
to find in icecast 1.
So, several questions: is this admin console planned to be

PHP script to administrate Icecast ?
Hi everyone
I wondered if any of you knew of a good PHP script to administrate Icecast,
as I'm not satisfied with the webadmin interface (templates do not control
everything and I'd rather not modify the sources). I've tried phpcast (found
on freshmeat) but I'd like to see others in action.
Another thing, anyone tried to change the mysql backend of icedir from SQL
to LDAP ?

Unofficial Icecast HOWTO posted
Absolutely!! That was one thing that I was missing and would have like
to have included.
You can either send me the data or let us know the link. If you wouldn't
mind adding to this HOWTO and I will post a link to your page so that
people would know where I got the original files.
Sounds good.

Firewall issue with Icecast
Greetings,
I've recently setup Icecast2 and Ices2 from the sources in the CVS repository.
Everything seems to be working fine with the exception of a firewall issue
that I'm having.
Icecast appears to use a TCP connection, for session setup, that is initiated
by the client. Icecast then sources a TCP connection back to the client for
the stream itself. This basically how

"utils::file.edit" does not understand "editor" with additional arguments
I am using Sublime Text as my editor. If I run `subl -n .Rprofile` in bash, a file would be opened in a new window.
Back in R, if I run this
> file.edit(".Rprofile", editor="'subl -n'")
sh: 'subl -n': command not found
Warning message:
error in running command
However, the interesting bit happens when I run
edit(1:10, editor="'subl -n?")

Learning Rails - Advice for development environment

I have been learning Rails for several weeks now. I am working through
Michael Hartl''s tutorial and other various things. My question is basically
regarding what type of environment to do my development in. First, some
background:
I have used different linux distros on and off throughout the years, so it
was easy and familiar for me to set up my desktop computer with Mint and

Opt plugin linkage
Hi,
I have a dynamically loaded llvm pass built in-tree with ninja (generated with cmake, basically a copy of the hallo pass plugin, linux, llvm/clang version 6.0.1).
It uses the ExecutionEngine.
Building it without linking against LLVMExecutionEngine library results in an undefined symbol to the vtable of the EngineBuilder when loaded to opt. Linking the plugin with LLVMExecutionEngine results in

Icecast 2: planned stuff.
Hi there.
First, some words about what the context is over here.
I'm a member of a french working group assembling several non profit
organisation members that intend to help promoting free software usage,
and in this case ogg vorbis and icecast.

Seek brilliant Rails programmer to add one field to acts_as_taggable
I''m on the downhill side of a large project that requires an
additional integer field to be added to the tag.rb in
acts_as_taggable. I feel I have a good understanding of ActiveRecord
and have performed the correct migrations.
(As a short background for those following this thread) when one wants
to add tags to a model they call the ''tag_with'' method that jumps into

Nothing particular, i was just thinking it's cool to have a centralised
way of dealing with logs when i was writing the list of potential todo
stuff. Not a big deal if it's not done.

Arabic Wiki pages, again
Could I please, pretty please, with whipped cream and a cherry on top,
be given the privilege to alter the most exalted and sublime of pages,
the Arabic wiki? :)
I'm still pumped up about this and I'm planning on staying pumped up
about this for quite some time.
