[PATCH] tools/virtio: add ringtest utilities
This adds micro-benchmarks useful for tuning virtio ring layouts. Three layouts are currently implemented: - virtio 0.9 compatible one - an experimental extension bypassing the ring index, polling ring itself instead - an experimental extension bypassing avail and used ring completely Typical use: sh run-on-all.sh perf stat -r 10 --log-fd 1 -- ./ring It doesn't depend on the kernel

iceS 0.2.2 bug?
I havent had the time to look into this further, and since i'm not a much of a C progammer, i'm afraid i might never figure it out so i thought i'd report it here. i'm running icecast 1.3.11 and feeding it with iceS 0.2.2. i've got 7 streams running, each running a different playlist out of my collection in random order. one of the streams runs for a few hours and then

ices2: ice-url header patch
After reading this posting in the icecast archives (http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast/3483.html) about setting the stream url in the metadata with ices2, I couldn't see that it actually was possible to set the ice-url anywhere. Please let me know if the attached patch is any use, and if I'm sending it to the right place! (Unix linefeeds). I use it with Peercast. It means you can add

ices and VBR mp3s?
I posted a while back about having trouble with ices 0.2.2 being able to re-encode VBR mp3s, and the response was that ices 0.2.2 did not reencode VBR mp3s. Are there any plans to include such support in future ices versions? If so, any ideas as to when such versions would become available? Thanks, -- "Shall life renew these bodies of a truth? ices compile problems (again...)
Okay, I did this right months ago, but somehow lost the recipe. I have libxml and libxml2 installed: [root@atisha ices-0.2.2]# ls /usr/local/lib libshout.a libxml2.a libxml.a pkgconfig libshout.la libxml2.la libxml.la xml2Conf.sh libshout.so libxml2.so libxml.so xmlConf.sh libshout.so.1 libxml2.so.2 libxml.so.1

Trying to compile ices under FreeBSD
looks like you need to set CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include" and LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib" in your configure environment. <p>Quoting Luiz Claudio Duarte <lclaudius@luiz.claudio.nom.br>: > Also sprach Michael Smith: > > > > >Ok. Trouble compiling ices 0.2.3
Hi: I'm wanting to compile ices 0.2.3 in order to have a play with it. Since I'm doing this on a box that also has libshout2, I don't want libshout1 to be installed (I wish they both used the same lib). Anyway, configure was invoked as follows: ./configure --disable-shared --enable-static to try and achieve this. anyway, it runs quite happily, reporting nothing unexpected. When

Hello, Perhaps foolishly I am trying to migrate my icecast 1.3.12 / ices 0.2.3 / LAME-3.92 from linux to solaris on sparc. icecast and LAME compiled, but when I tried to get ices to build the following occurred. I tried to confirm all needed libs, but must have not found something. Any help appreciated! Thanks... error follows. -Dave D $ make make all-recursive Making all in libshout

Ices 3.0 compile issues
Hi, Actually I'm using icecast 1.3.12 libshout2 (.so.3) and ices 0.2.3, all compiled on the same machine and it's working well. But I can't compile ices 3.0. It's telling various errors like In file included from ../../src/definitions.h:99, from playlist.c:22: ../../src/icestypes.h:38: parse error before "shout_t" Or ../../src/ices_config.h:22: parse

Ices-0.2.2, Lame 3.89b, FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE
I'm having more than a bit of trouble getting Ices installed with Lame support (I've been running it without Lame support for a couple of months now without much trouble. But with Lame it's not compiling. It's recognizing the libraries in the ./configure stage. gmake ends with these errors: gmake[3]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/ices-0.2.2/src' gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I.

ices: Metadata for im_stdinpcm
Hi, I added metadata support for the stdinpcm module of ices. The metadata have to be submitted via file (as stdin is already used for the strem). Please apply this patch to the current cvs sources. <p>Deti <p> Index: im_stdinpcm.c =================================================================== RCS file: /usr/local/cvsroot/ices/src/im_stdinpcm.c,v retrieving revision 1.8 diff
