Icecast2 access problem
I seem to be having problems with people accessing an icecast stream
from one of my computers. I am using the current cvs of icecast2
(icecast module), libshout2 (libshout module), and ices2 (ices module)
and the RC2 version of the ogg and vorbis libraries. I connect to the
internet via DSL and have the DSL modem attached to a Linksys router.
The router is configured to forward all port 8000

OGG->CDA programs ?????
Anyone have a status update on when Sonic Foundry plans on supporting RC2
ogg files? A while back on this list someone said they had a good contact at
SF and was supposed to chekc up on it.
I have contacted Ahead Software about including Vorbis support with Nero and
they asked that a developer contact them about including it. Any chance a
developer can contact them about support for Vorbis

Win32 not relaying ogg
Hi - This is my first post, so please excuse me if I screw up in any way :)
I have been trying to get icecast to relay an Ogg Vorbis stream. I have the
1.3.7 win32 version and in the icecast.conf file i have
alias radiofg.ogg http://ra.voila.fr:8000/radiofg.ogg
I think that this should allow me to point a client at
http://fusion1.studio.strath.ac.uk:8000/radiofg
and the server will connect to

Icecast2 under OpenBSD - update
Hi,
I've come a step further in my attempt to compile Icecast2 under
OpenBSD... I didn't have the pth library installed (d'oh), but ´cd
/usr/ports/devel/pth && make install´ did the job.
It still bails out at the same point, though, but this time with another
error message:

gcc -O20 -fsigned-char -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/local/include/libxml
-I/usr/local/include -I/include

Icecast2 access problem
Thanks (slapping forehead with hand). I completely forgot that my
upstream is limited to 128kbs. That would definitely cause a problem as
you have mentioned. For the time being, I re-encoded the files at 56kbs
to see if that helps. If so, I'll look into using a even lower
bandwidth streams. Let me know if you are successful using this lower
bandwidth stream.

Block internet access for some users on the LAN ?
Hi,
In our local school we have two servers and roughly 80 clients. The
network is 192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0, and DHCP+DNS is managed by Dnsmasq.
School PCs (teachers and management) are registered via MAC address and
get an IP address in a specific range:
192.168.10.2 - 192.168.10.50 - management + teachers
192.168.10.201 - 192.168.10.220 - computer room
192.168.10.246 - 192.168.10.247 -

table that have many-to-may relationship to itself
In a social netowrk data model, users belongs other users, and can have
many friends as users, so it is a many to many relatioship.
the class definition could be
class User < ApplicationController
has_mang_ang_belongs_to users
But how it looks like in the mysql database tables in a "joined" users
table.
The question really is: what is the table looks like when a model has

ipfw2 in 5.2.1
hi - this is my first post to this list so go easy on me ! I am trying to find info on using ipfw2 with freebsd 5.2.1 as I have read that it supports MAC address based firewalling. Situation is, I have a small externally managed VPN network, about 12 different subnets all terminating in my office location, and all managed by a tier 1 telco. Problem is, their CPE routers do not have any firewalling

nethood. Any ideas?
BTW, I'm using win95 and linux RH6.1

Hello!
Thanks for the help in my last post. I checkout icecast and libshout
from CVS and now I have some problems building icecast.
I read the HACKME file and I follow the instructions but when run
"autogen.sh" it returns a serial of errors concerning to
"libtoolize". I suppose this library is missing, but I can't locate
it.

MAC addresses can easily be forged, IP addresses can easily be changed,
none of that is secure if its on the same network segment
The student's personal devices should be on a completely different

VPN
Hi list, I am trying to create a VPN between two different locations. On
the first location we have a cisco pix 525 Natting the internal
192.168.100.x network, while on the second location we have a Centos3
box Natting via iptables the internal 192.168.10.x netowrk. My goal is
to connect this 2 over the internet via IPsec. I created the IPsec

Meaning of...
Hello,
I'm curious, what Ogg and Vorbis stand for?
I run a mailing list for my customers here, and I've made a commentary on
Ogg/Vorbis a few days ago, someone ask me the meaning of those words.
Thanks,
Norberto
