Its my first time installing icecast...and i'm having problems
Both ports are enabled. Here is the actual ouput, maybe someone can make more sense of it. This is what happens when I try to stream (note that the encoder has been accepted the line before): -> [13/Dec/2001:13:46:42] [Bandwidth: 0.000000MB/s] [Sources: 0] [Clients: 0] [Admins: 1] [Uptime: 1 seconds] -> [13/Dec/2001:13:47:35] Accepted encoder on mountpoint /icy_0 from

Its my first time installing icecast...and i'm having problems
I've installed icecast. Then I run the server in the bg. I can encode to it from winamp just fine, but I cant seem to stream from it. The icecast verbose messages say "Kicking unknown #3 (hostmask) [no encoder]" or something along those lines. Does this have something to do with my deny/allow settings? Also, when I do a 'sources' it lists that there is a source on mountpoint

I would be interestd in the answer. Especially if it was something comparable to SAM, as I would not mind losing Windows Kevin ----- Original Message ----- From: "dj epyon" <dj-epyon@home.net> To: <icecast@xiph.org> Sent: Friday, December 14, 2001 13:29 Subject: Re: [icecast] More questions! > Thanks but I'm looking for something I can run under Red Hat 7.2. [ problem remotely loginning into web admin interface]
Hello, I think I figured this problem out. History... After installing icecast last week I had been unable to get the /admin to work. So today I looked into the code. From that exploration it seems that the *.aut files (or at least the mounts.aut) needs to be in the conf directory. If you follow the code in client.c line 176... char *secfile = get_icecast_file (info.mountfile, conf_file_e,

Hello Ian, I am new to the list and am just now experimenting with icecast, but I use SAM for my broadcast, it allows a very good script style languge that can insert station ID ads etc based on time or number of songs played etc. It is available from www.audiorealm.com It does work with icecast at least in my prelimnary tests. Admin headaches
Greetings I just migrated from a Debian install to a Gentoo install, and I'm having some issues getting the admin page to work. I have setup the acl policy and hosts.allowed the same way as on the Debian box, but I can't figure out how to use the *.aut files. When I try to connect to the admin page, I get this: [31/Jan/2004:00:12:03] [11:Connection Handler] No mountfile found, refusing

Hey thanks for your help guys. I got everything working. I've got a few other questions though. I want to have a dj/station type script or program to cycle through mp3's and play a call sign mp3 every certain # of songs. Whats the best program to do this? There's a few i've seen on freshmeat.net but i'm unsure of which to use. Also, I want to do a live broadcast once a week.

Zero inflated: is there a limit to the level of inflation
Hello, I have count data that illustrate the presence or absence of individuals in my study population. I created a grid cell across the study area and calcuated a count value for each individual per season per year for each grid cell. The count value is the number of time an individual was present in each grid cell. For illustration my data columns look something like this and are repeated for

The smbd ran away with the spoon...
It seems that my smbd process got fuxed somehow. It appears to have take up all the file handles, and there were over 130 smbd processes running on the system. I'm not entirely sure what happened. My first thought is that something bad happened between the server and the Windows client that's running Kaza (with a couple hundred mid-download files) and it just spiraled out of control,
