Newbie question - on demand streaming?
> Well, a number of reasons. Dedicated streamers are better at streaming > audio/video than webservers, In theory. In practice this is not true. Apache is far more robust than any streaming server I've seen yet, and far more stable. Many of the scaling issues have been addressed, and the drawbacks are minimal. Streaming servers should be better for two reaosns. 1) they can be more

Strange behaviour of methods::slot() when returning a tibble
I don't get any warning (but am using slightly different versions of everything than you are). You can find where that message is coming from by running options(warn=2) first, which will convert it to an error. Strange behaviour of methods::slot() when returning a tibble
I have an S4 object class defined in a Bioconductor package which contains multiple slots, some of which are tibbles, whilst others are vectors. If I call slot(object, name) where 'name' is an slot that contains a vector, everything works as expected. However, when I call slot(object, name) where 'name' is an slot that contains a tibble I get the following warning: Warning

on-demand source as default mountpoint
Hi icecasters, Is there a way to attach a static file to a source client without using the /file subdirectory? What I'm trying to do is have a static file broadcasted on-demand via http://fooblah:8000/, but I can't uses ices (I think) since that just throws the file to the server without any sense of timing. If I use ices, listeners could tune in during the middle of the static file,

content on demand?
Hi, Does Icecast support streaming on demand as Shoutcast does? i.e. if I have some MP3 files in a directory, can these be streamed if I link to them on a web page. Defining data as you mentioned in your respond causes the following error: Error in UseMethod("tm_map", x) : no applicable method for 'tm_map' applied to an object of class "character" I can solve this error by using Corpus(VectorSource(my string)) and the using your command but I cannot see the number of stop words in my string! You can use regular expressions. ?regex and/or the stringr package are good places to start. Of course, you have to define "stop words." Adding two different factors to one observation?
In a data frame, I would like to assign two or more factors to one observation. Is it possible? If so, how? Example: In the variable $ dishes, there are several levels: "cup", "plate", "saucer". In my first observation, I see a saucer only. But in the second one, I see a cup and a saucer. In the third, however, there is only a cup, in the fourth a plate only and

Winamp Shoutcast DSP to Icecast?
Hello. I'd like to broadcast my Winamp audio via the Shoutcast DSP to my Icecast server. According to all i've read, this can be done and should be simple, but I can't get it to work. Here are details for how my server is set up. Anyone spot anything obvious? The Icecast version is 2.4.2 on Windows 8.1 I have only the default listen socket defined. <listen-socket>

Icecast status-json.xsl improvements
While http://127.0.0.1:8000/status-json.xsl?mount=/live is fine for info on the server itself and the current track played it's missing a played history. I'd like to suggest adding history to status-json.xsl or to reduce the size of the json to the bare minimum that a Web base mediaplayer might need Add a new one at http://127.0.0.1:8000/playing-json.xsl?mount=/live Which will only
