There's a known bug in header pcoessing. If you give icecast certain types of bad headers, it falls down. This doesn't usually happen, and I have no idea why you're getting so many crashes. Hello to all, I am a newbie to Icecat2. I already know how to use darkice as a source but I can't find any information on how to relay a udp multicast stream like "udp://239.192.0.145:5000 for" example. Can icecast2 stream this directly or do I need to use some source client?

I can start it fine from the command line using icecast -c icecast.xml we have ver 2.4. When I try and start it using /etc/init.d/icecast2 start it says [ ok ] Starting icecast2 (via systemctl): icecast2.service. but it actually doesn't start. nothing in the error logs, nothing in syslog. However, I use a reverse proxy (Pound) to pass all requests from the Internet for x.mysite.com to backend localhost:8000 i.e. my Icecast2 server.
