VPN-Clients
There is a SonicWall Pro 2040 to which I successfully established a VPN tunnel under Windows XP using SonicWall VPN client. Now, I'm looking for a way to establish a VPN tunnel to the same SonicWall device under Linux. Installing the SonicWall VPN client under wine 0.9.27 failed ans as far as I understand a posting of 2006 it's doubtful if this type of software will ever be installable

IPSec multiple VPN setups
I second Eero's comment, use a new IPSec daemon. Openswan was forked and became Libreswan. Paul, now a RH employee, was a main developer for the Openswan project before he and others created the Libreswan fork. https://libreswan.org/ EL6 has Openswan EL7 has Libreswan Racoon isn't all that fun to work with. If you have the option, ditch it and EL5 and move to a newer platform

I have created an ipsec connection with racoon in tunnel mode to another gateway to connect one subnet on each side to each other. This works fine. Only the ipsec gateway itself can''t send packages to the opposite subnet. Shorewall is configured according

Cisco PIX vpn software
Anyone got a resource on setting up a CentOS box to connect to a Cisco PIX 5xx VPN using IPSec? I don't know if it matters but an important part of functionality would be split tunneling, I need to maintain that from the windows side of functionality. Thanks! jlc

Problem with IPComp on VPN
I''ve created an IPSec VPN using shorewall and racoon-tool under Debian 3.1. I''m not using the patched iptables/kernel for policy match, therefore I''m using the tunnels/hosts config method rather than the ipsec config file method. I''m running the latest 2.6.13 kernel. I have no problem getting my VPN connection up and running with one exception. Without

rekeying problem between isakmpd and cisco 7000
Hi, I have a rekeying problem between FreeBSD4.9 (running isakmpd) and a Cisco 7000 box. The rekeying time of these two are not same, so even they new SAs are created on isakmpd side, the tunnel doesn't work at all. On isakmpd side, I know it creates new SA when SA life time passes 90%. But I don't know when Cisco builds the new SAs. I don't have much knowledge on Cisco and I cannot
