There is another plugin which supports mounpoins AFAIK.
http://www.oddsock.org/tools/dsp_oddcast/
Try it.

lame question.
I think the question is, how do you change /icy_0 to /mystreamname,
or at least /mystreamname_0. I'm guessing it would have to be
somewhere in the source?
I'd love to have some kind of control over stream names, such as
having a particular mount point for a stream from a certain IP
address. I have some macs streaming using MacAmp, and they have no
way to specify mount point.

on-demand source as default mountpoint
Hi icecasters,
Is there a way to attach a static file to a source client without using the
/file subdirectory? What I'm trying to do is have a static file broadcasted
on-demand via http://fooblah:8000/, but I can't uses ices (I think) since that
just throws the file to the server without any sense of timing. If I use ices,
listeners could tune in during the middle of the static file,

liveice/lame problem
I've set up Liveice on a Yellowdog Linux laptop (YDL 2.0). I'm trying
to stream to an icecast server on another YDL 2.0 system.
Streaming seems to be fine, but encoding is pure garbage. When I
listen to the stream, it basically sounds like white noise. The
intesity of the hum depends on the strength of the sound being
encoded, though. If I stop playing the CD, it drops to a gentle

Real to MP3
How can I convert Real audio files (.rm) to MP3 files? I know I've
done it before, but I can't get WinAmp to output to the NullSoft MP3
Output Plug-In, which is how I think I did it last time. The file I
want to convert just doesn't seem to play with that output selected.
I get the same result with teh Lame MP3 Writer plug-in.
I use the Tara Audio Video Plugin to read Real media

Do I need to include it in the

ices2 (which is a seperate program, written by different people) does
vorbis streaming. It also does live streaming. Feel free to ask me
for any features that are missing.

icecast 1.3.12 streaming big static files, offset
hello
i am running an icecast setup since a little while now and i am
very convinced of the quality of this product. still i have 2 wishes
or problems which seem almost unsolvable to me:
1: i don't know how i can convince icecast to make an offset
position by streaming big static files. i.e. streaming
big.mp3 not from start but one hour later:
60s*60mins*16000

Problems with ices
Hi,
I compiled the latest version of ices from cvs, but I have some problems
with it. When I start it up, I only get the error "Failed to read config
file "/usr/local/icecast/etc/ices.conf""
My /usr/local/icecast/etc/ices.conf looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<ices:Configuration xmlns:ices="http://www.icecast.org/projects/ices">

OK, am I missing something ??
Hi all,
Didn't get any replies to my previous query, so I thought I'd try again.
Since I last emailed out, my station has appeared on yp.icecast.org, so I
really don't know what was going on there....
This time, however, I'm hot on the trail of a generally crappy output
stream from icecast/streamcast/ices.
It stutters; it halts on track changes; it causes the little red

Multiple streams
Good afternoon everyone.
I'm using Icecast 1.3.10, LiveIce and Lame 3.91. I configured LiveIce to
encode different bitrate streams of my station and send them to the Icecast
server. In the admin panel of Icecast I can see both of the encoded streams,
one mounted on /icy_0 (bitrate 16000) and the other on /icy_1 (bitrate 24000).
When any client connects IceCast is sending the default

Darkice Stream dispaying in Icecast Administration Page
Hello folks, when using Darkice to send a stream to an Icecast 1 server, the icecast administration page is not updated correctly. The mountpoint etc.. is all there, but the name of the darkice stream is not there. It has been replaced with the name of the default stream for the server.
To ensure I had not overlooked anything, I had also tried the same thing with MuSE, and the same behaviour was
