DAHDI Dummy for Linux VServers
I'm running dahdi on the host system, and have added the /dev/dahdi/
devices to the guest vserver as recommended in Beave's "Virtual Private
Asterisk" whitepaper (http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/).
I tried copying libtonezone.so and libtonezone.h to the guest, but I
couldn't anything to replace zaptel.h in DAHDI souce (it seems dahdi.h
was deprecated?).

Mounting swap fails in domU (badiane)
Has anyone experienced a swap failing to be mounted in domU''s?
I created a LVM swap space, ran mkswap and made it available on the same
line as the root partition (also on LVM) in each of the domU''s config file.
But it fails to be mounted and I''m running without swap space. That
wouldn''t be too much of a problem if I had a lot of mem to play with but

Quick poll: CVS commits
Hi folks,
I''m conducting a straw poll for your opinions on whether we should send
CVS commit logs (probably with diffs) to the shorewall-devel list, or to
another (new) list?
I can see advantages to both ways: separate lists mean that people who
aren''t contributing code don''t get flooded with code noise, but a single
list will help keep everyone involved in the

Routing changes break NAT (not a shorewall question)
Hi folks,
I know this isn''t a shorewall question, but i''m hoping someone can
point me to the right place to look for answers on this (since, as Tom
suggests, search engines are useless for some things):
Here is my firewall setup:

It''s a fairly simple setup. ADSL1 has a static IP, ADSL2 is

Asterisk server with remote monitoring capab ilities
We have two Baytech RPC3 remote power switches(8 outlets each), they are
great, you can telnet into them and reset ports as needed. I even setup one
of them to be controlled by an AGI script on our Asterisk servers to cycle
power over the phone. Saved countless hours of driving. APC makes them too
although they are more expensive.

Outbound answer on TDM400P
How come an outgoing call using my TDM400P immediately
say the call is answered? I'd like to be able to
detect when the call is actually picked up, is this
possible?
If this is normal with analog cards, does the same
thing happen with T1 cards?

Is it supported now? what should i do to make my

I have set up a an icecast server and have a Shoutcast
DSP source connected. Is it possible to set up
multiple shoutcast compat ports and shoutcast mount

How to figure out underlying failed disk(parttions) and sector(s) position ???
Hi,
with being exposed to more and more failed hard disks
reports, I've accumulated several questions of the
logged messages in /var/log/messages file: like how to
identifying failed disks(partitions), where is the
exact failed sector(s) on the hard disk, and why
badblocks reports OK to the reported disk failure.
Let me explained the above with the following several
example.
scenario #1, a
