Simple directory question
Folks,
I've been running an icecast server for about a year, and never really had
the chance to test it out on the other side of our Internet link. We've
had a lot of people trying us out, but very short connect times in the
whole. I finally got a cable modem at home, tried having a listen, and
found the stream to be very stuttery.
So, first things first, I went and grabbed the

Hiya,
There is another plugin which supports mounpoins AFAIK.
http://www.oddsock.org/tools/dsp_oddcast/
Try it.

I don't know why there's lots of problems lately. I assume some small
libc implementation changed that icecast must have depended on. I ran

Is there a way to direct icecast to associate a stream from a
particular source to a designated mount point?
I've got two different streams I'm encoding that I'd like to make
available on the same server. Currently, I have one going to /icy_0
and the other to /icy_1. That's okay for the moment, but if either
the server or the two encoders reboot, the streams might reconnect in

Sacrilege, but...
Hi all,
I'm afraid that having spent yet another entire day floundering around in
the world of icecast, I've really now got to the point of asking a
difficult question.
I set up an icecast server back in early 1999, and it seemed to work fine
for months. We had a server crash here that meant I had to go and reget
the sources to rebuild, and ever since then it has been nothing but

icecast 1.3.12 streaming big static files, offset
hello
i am running an icecast setup since a little while now and i am
very convinced of the quality of this product. still i have 2 wishes
or problems which seem almost unsolvable to me:
1: i don't know how i can convince icecast to make an offset
position by streaming big static files. i.e. streaming
big.mp3 not from start but one hour later:
60s*60mins*16000

Currently I have it set this way:

which forces open an mp3 player.
Do I need to include it in the

ices2 (which is a seperate program, written by different people) does
vorbis streaming. It also does live streaming. Feel free to ask me
for any features that are missing.

on-demand source as default mountpoint
Hi icecasters,
Is there a way to attach a static file to a source client without using the
/file subdirectory? What I'm trying to do is have a static file broadcasted
on-demand via http://fooblah:8000/, but I can't uses ices (I think) since that
just throws the file to the server without any sense of timing. If I use ices,
listeners could tune in during the middle of the static file,

Problems with ices
Hi,
I compiled the latest version of ices from cvs, but I have some problems
with it. When I start it up, I only get the error "Failed to read config
file "/usr/local/icecast/etc/ices.conf""
My /usr/local/icecast/etc/ices.conf looks like this:

lots of icecast help needed
Hi, I've been running Icecast on my server for over five months now and am
having lots of problems with it. I must have pulled out half of my hair on
this product, mostly due to lack of support. (I mean, have you ever gotten
an answer to your question at icecast.org?) I've tried it all: sc_serv,
Icecast, shout, ices, streamcast, liveice. I could greatly use any help.

Issue with Wordpress in HTTPS and Icecast Stream URL in HTTP
Hello,
Configuration :
- Debian 8
- Wordpress 5.3.2 (Apache)
- Icecast 2
- Radio web player : Streamcast
I just installed my Web radio that was working correctly in full HTTP.
I add a Lets Encrypt certificat on my Wordpress that is now in HTTPS. Since
my Wordpress is in HTTPS, my stream on the website is not working. The
direct Link in HTTP is working correctly.
I checked on the internet and

I can run???
Hello
I'm using icecast 1.3.10, and streamcast-0.8
I started it with nohup icecast & and it was happy for a while then the stream dropped out. I looked in nohup.out, and there was about 500 lines that just said "You can run, but you can't hide!"
After I changed my underwear, I looked through the source to verify that the message was coming out of Icecast and not the RIAA

live365
Another, but more recent problem, I am having is Live365. I haven't done
much work with it, but can you relay to Live365 properly? They give me an
ip and it works, but I don't show up in their listings, and the song title
doesn't show up in the client's mp3player. (whereas if someone listens to
the local broadcast they do get the song titles).
