new 1.3.7 and fix for CVE-2018-10392 (issue 2335)?
Hi Ralph,
Again, thanks so much for doing all this! Plus thanks to all the folks who contributed to the new release!
Quick clarifying question -- Isn't CVE-2018-10392 (looks like it’s fixed in https://gitlab.xiph.org/xiph/vorbis/-/issues/2335) also included in new version 1.3.7? If so can you please add it to release notes?

Question about bicreg
Dear Adrian and Ian (and r-helpers),
I encountered a curious result in developing an example using the bicreg
function in the BMA package: I noticed that pairs of models with equal R^2
and equal numbers of predictors had nevertheless different BIC values.
Looking at the bicreg function, the definition of BIC appears to be the
usual one, or close to it [bic <- n * log(1 - r2/100) + (size - 1) *

can we help with libvorbis release for CVE fixes?
Ok,
I wasn't able to track down the original steps to reproduce this
issue,s but we believe CVE-2018-10393 is a dupiicate of CVE-2017-14160,
both fixed by commit 018ca26dece6.
Because of the confusion, I added additional bounds checks to
the bark_noise_hybridmp function, which make it clear to local analysis
that no for bugs in this class are possible. This change is in
commit a9eb99a5bd6f.

Outliers
Last week there was a thread on outlier detection.
I came across an article which has a very interesting paragraph.
The article is

by Shaun Burke, RHM Techology Ltd, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK.
It was the fourth article in a series which appeared in

in 1998 and 1998.

new ogg-tools module in cvs
FWIW, I've just imported my mng-over-ogg code into xiph.org cvs. There are currently too tools, both under the new 'ogg-tools' module:
'oggmerge' is intended to multiplex files of various formats into a single ogg bitstream. Currently it only creates degenerate mng-over-ogg files. Next step is to add support for multiplexing with ogg vorbis files, and jack will likely be

Xapian 1.3.7 development snapshot released
I'm happy to be able to announce that Xapian 1.3.7 is now available.
This development snapshot is essentially a release candidate for 1.4.0,
so please test with it and report any issues you hit.
The plan is to release 1.4.0 on or shortly after 2016-06-21 - this is
the date on which Unicode 9.0.0 is due to be officially released, so
we'll ship 1.4.0 with support for that (this is one

[ANNOUNCE] Release of iptables-1.3.7
Hi!
The netfilter coreteam proudly presents:
iptables version 1.3.7
The 1.3.7 version contains accumulated bugfixes to the last 1.3.6
version. This comes a bit earlier after the last release than
usual because the endian annotations in 2.6.19 broke iptables
compilation, which is fixed with this version.
The ChangeLog is attached to this mail.
Version 1.3.7 can be obtained from:

can we help with libvorbis release for CVE fixes?
Hi Ralph,
Thank you for your reply!
For context -- we consider reported CVEs as bugs even if it's in a third-party library we use (such as libvorbis). We first determine if the CVE is something that would impact our customer workflows. In this case because of our use of libvorbis for audio I/O, it does impact our customers so we need to resolve the CVE as soon as possible.

Everyone,
I have a problem I have been chasing for about three weeks and only
occurred after cups was updated with cups-1.6.3-22.el7.??I would be
interested as to whether any one else has had this problem, and would
entertain suggestions as to how I can debug the problem.

Agents, queues and zombies
Hi all,
Have been experimenting with agents and queues instead of placing calls
direct to a user's phone extension, but I've run into problems with calls to
both the agent and the extension which creates a zombie and double records
calls abandoned etc. We're using a unique queue for each agent (only a
handful of users) to try and get some agent/queue information to see what
