Problem decoding .flac files
I've been having problems with Amarok and K3B, but I think it comes down
to a problem with flac. All my music and audio files are encoded in
flac format. I've ripped my CDs using KAudioCreator and using this
command to encode them (split for formatting):
flac --best -o %o --tag=Artist=%{artist} --tag=Album=%{albumtitle}
--tag=Date=%{year} --tag=Title=%{title}

KAudioCreator

I am the the author of KAudioCreator. A simple cd ripper/encoder application
for KDE. I would like to add flac (or is it FLAC?) to the default encoders.
KAudioCreator uses a simply command line listing for its encoders. For
example:
To leave as a wav file: "mv %f %o"
To encode with oggenc: "oggenc -o %o -a %artist -l %album -t

SV: How does asterisk behave when multiple phonesare logged in on a single SIP/account?
Yeah I do use ring groups at the moment. But the problem is that I can't control "the flow".
Let's take your example.
dial(SIP/dev1&SIP/dev2&SIP/dev3)
If I dial these 3 numbers, and dev2 is already one the phone. How do I check for that? I only want one of the three phones active at the time. But if no telephone is busy, they all should ring until the call is

Fixing a Corrupted Vorbis file
Hello, Since last week I started having random ogg files from my library
turning corrupt, and practically being unplayable by anything. All this
while I was browsing and sorting my library through Amarok.
Luckily today I've found the possible culprit, Amarok itself, and others
who may have the issue as well: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369672
But regardless of how the issue started,

Lost my menu options again - KDE messes with Gnome?
This was a problem I had a while back. I lost the "Preferences" menu
item in my "Applications" menu in Gnome. After much discussion, the
following commands got my "Preferences" menu item back, along with all
the applications inside of it:
rpm -e redhat-artwork redhat-menus --nodeps --allmatches
yum install redhat-artwork redhat-menus
But...
For some reason it

Unhandled page fault
Hi all,
Since last week I've been unable to run any applications with Wine; it'll
always lock the mouse and keyboard, even though other applications don't
freeze (at least Amarok can finish playing the current track, but stops when
it is finished). When this happens, I'm forced to kill Wine remotely, and
then I always get something like this

FLAC: player with native support for flac embedded pictures
Hi,
I'm looking for an audio player with native support for flac embedded
pictures. I use Amarok (http://amarok.kde.org/) in linux, but I can't find
any player in Windows that has this same native support for embedded flac
pictures.
I hope somebody can help me
thanks in advance!

SV: callback script?
Thanks.
I'm able to getting the asterisk calling back to my cellphone. But when I get to the authentication I get this message when I start to dial in my password:
NOTICE[5178]: rtp.c:509 ast_rtp_read: Unknown RTP codec 96 received
Is this a DTMF failure of some sort?
Thanks again.

Developing a call centre app. Communication with asterisk?
Hi there. We're going to develop a call centre app for internal use in
our office.
The call centre is probably going to be a java-based client installed on
a windows machine that our secretary can use. Features should be a way
to see incoming calls, answer them, and then transfer the calls to our
different users/groups/divisions. If it also could be possible to have a
way to see if the user

Playing Games with Wine while listening to music
I have this problem: When playing a PC game via wine while listening to music with let's say Amarok, there's no sound in the PC game anymore. It's like the sound channel is occupied by the music player so wine cannot playback any soundfiles.
Sounds are working if I play a Linux game like Nexuiz while running some music via a music player (ok, completely different, I know, but

Samba and NT4-sp5 problems ??
We were using Samba 2.0.2 and Windows NT4-sp3 quite happily.. however
someone wants to use sp5 (get me a large caliber rifle, PLEASE!!), and
during some testing we noticed what 'looks like' file corruption problems.
Files do not seem to get written to the samba shares properly/completely...
I say looks like, because copying the files manually seems to be fine, but
when done within an app,
