WINAMP & FLAC
Hi, This word for a little problem : when using the Equalizer integrated with Winamp v 5.24, this has no action on FLAC files! With MP3 files, no problem, and when reading FLAC files using the Creative Equalizer, no problems too! Is this a bug in Winamp ? Thanks, Didier Didier Eggerickx Rue de Cambron, 48 7870 Cambron St Vincent GSM : 0484/730491 E-Mail : didier.eggerickx@skynet.be

Tags Layout
Hi, When looking into a Flac file with an hexadecimal editor, I observe that the different tags (date, tittle, etc...) are, one time all displayed in capital letters (DATE=), on an other time all displayed in minus letters (date=), or...a mix of both : some tags in capital letters, others in minus letters. For tagging (and encode/decode) I use the Flac Frontend listed on your site. When testing

Re: James Chapman FLAC 1.1.2 File Filter for Cool Edit Pro 2
Hello, Different how? When displaying the wave in Cool Edit (it's to say, the FLAC file itself is opened and decoded through the Chapman filter), the audio wave result shows little differences : changes in frequencies at a given time, lower or higher; not many changes, but changes! I attribute this to the filter, because when decoding with your soft, already used for encoding, no problem

James Chapman Flac 1.1.2 File Filter for Cool Edit Pro v2
Hello, Parano?ac? Maybe... When encoding my files in FLAC, and using the Verify option, I do a final test with Cool Edit Pro v2.0, which used a flac.flt file created by James Chapman for Flac v 1.1.2. The problem is that, when decoding a Flac file with the Josh Coalson soft, I obtain the same file, in content in size than the original WAV file, but when opening the FLAC file in Cool Edit (using

Curious
Hello Flac Boys! I've a little thing, without consequences, I try to understand since last evening; I will try to resume it clearly : You must know that I create an NTFS partition, for only coding my CD's in FLAC (for home using) and in MP3 (for car using). My partition inculudes some directories called WAV, FLAC and MP3, amongst others, for personal and paranoiac purposes (double

Drive use in wine
I'm running Wine release 20011004 and have created the floppy and CDs drives for my floppy, CD and CDRW. I am automounting the devices. 1. I've noticed that if I don't have a floppy or CD in the drive wine ignores it and even if I insert a disk later the app (notepad) never sees it. 2. I have two CDs, one a Creative DVD and the other a Plextor CDRW, and I've created the

I have a new system which includes a Plextor PX-740a DVD+-R/RW CD-R/RW drive attached to an Asus A8V-MX motherboard. When I try to use burncd to burn a cd, it writes all of the data, says "fixating CD, please wait.." and then reports burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCFIXATE): Input/output error Oddly enough, the CD seems to be usable. I can successfully burn the same file if I use cdrecord. The

EAC + FLAC bitrate question?
This is more of an EAC question, but I have not yet received an answer from my post on that page. Since they are closely related I thought I would give it a try here. I just bought a BIG stack of CDs (70+) and decided to recheck all of my EAC (beta 4) + FLAC (1.1.2) settings prior to ripping and encoding them. I also calibrated a new external Plextor CD-ROM too. The setting string I use in

Disk error 00, drive F0
Hello, I have recently downloaded Sorcerer GNU Linux (http://sorcerer.wox.org/) which uses ISOLINUX for booting the installation CD-ROM. Problem is, I can not get the CD-ROM to boot. I have tested it on another computer, and it works fine (The CD-ROM has been written correctly). When I boot it on my home system, it gives me this error message: ISOLINUX 1.66 2002-01-01 isolinux: Disk error 00,

dovecot.conf authentication after Debian upgrade
Hello, I'm new on this mailing list. I run a Dovecot imaps server since several month on a Debian server. I just upgrade a Debian server from Debian Sarge --> Etch and I discover that a lot of parameters have changed (must be changed) in the dovecot.conf. I finally find an exemple an try to adapt it to our server. We never defined special authentification or password scheme. It was

Hi, I'm trying to setup one-time passwords on freebsd5.2.1 >From what I've read so far, if the user is present in opiekeys, the opieaccess file determines if the user (coming from a specific host or network) is allowed to use his unix password from this specific network.
