I would recommend the opusfile library, which implements seeking specifically for Opus streams. https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/opus/opusfile-0.8.zip

Help with Opus Streaming
Hi Ralph, I am using Http Progressive download technique to download the opus audio in chunks. So I am not sure if the Opusfile seek API will work in this case. Please correct me if I am wrong. Is there anyway to get or calculate the byte offset corresponding to the PCM time position? Then I can ask the server to serve the file from that byte onwards. Regards, Deepak. On Tue, Nov 8, 2016 at

Please correct me if I am wrong. If you don't want to use opusfile's http client implementation (libopusurl) you can still use its seeking implementation. Just provide the

Decode ogg file while downloading: what are the good practices?
Thanks for your answer. But as I said, I don't have any problem seeking in a local file. Also, I have full control on the ogg file I play, since I encode it by myself. I first would like to know if the code I provided ( https://gist.github.com/mregnauld/3f7cdc43b02ec3bbd91641b9333ba072) is good practice when it comes to extracting and seeking in a file that is being downloaded. Thanks.

Decoding Opus File in Chunks
I would like to decode an Opus file in chunks (e.g. 16K byte array). Is this possible with the Opusfile library or would I need to interface directly with libogg and libopus? It seems like the Opusfile decoder functions maintain an internal pointer/state for OggOpusFile during multiple calls to op_read(OggOpusFile *_op ...) and a complete byte array of the entire Opus file would be needed. Question about libopusfile downloading the last 64K when duration is not needed
Thanks for the quick response. That makes sense. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an easy fix, or that I wasn't overlooking something. My scenario calls for very low latency playback with a user being able to jump between many files quickly, or seek quickly. This means I am priming the pump by downloading the first chunk of many files that are likely to be started soon. I was

Ogg Opus file streaming via RTP
Hello Opus experts! I'm new in the Opus development area - working on application that is supposed to read the opus-encoded data from the ogg opus file and send the opus media via RTP,. The RTP opus stream shall be received by some remote softphone client, decoded and stored in the PCM wav file . Could you please point me to some sample code outside of the opus and opusfile libraries

Opus implementation on Nordic chip
Hi I’m currently trying to implement the Opus codec on a nRF 52 DK (from Nordic). One main goal of my project is a low power application that can record and send audio data (16+ kHz) over BLE. Therefore, the Opus audio codec would be suitable to encode audio data, send it over BLE and decode it on another chip. Unfortunately, I have some trouble implementing it. There are different parts to the

opusfile Include fix
Hi all! When compiling the program using opusfile the #include <opus/opusfile.h> generates error that # include <opus_multistream.h> is not found. Actually it should be included as # include <opus/opus_multistream.h> just like the ogg.h in the previous line. A small patch attached. -- Best regards, Alexander -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment

Opus in Audacity
Hi I am an Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) developer and I'd like to see Audacity reading and writing Opus files as easily as it does others. What would you recommend as a way forward for this? I am thinking that (Win) we should ship opusenc.exe and opusdec.exe and send command line stuff to them; that way we wouldn't need to dip into your code and as you update we would

opus.h not found
HI list, While attempting to build the Opus 0.2.1 codec library, the build stopped immediately with a failed #include call to 'opus.h' from 'opus_header.c'. I searched the mailing list archives and found nothing current about this mysterious header file. I cannot find it anywhere in the package, and it is certainly not in my includes directories! So, where can it be found,
