Missing audio when converting PCM to Ogg
Hello,
I am using the Ogg Vorbis library to encode PCM data into ogg format. The
conversion seems to work fine with the exception that the first and last
little bit of audio appears cut off in each converted stream. It's about
.25 seconds that are lost.
I am essentially following the example from here:

Trouble building libvorbis-1.0rc3
Hi all,
I was just trying to build myself a RC3 set of Ogg/Vorbis libs and
tools, but the build of libvorbis bombs out on me while making all in
examples. I've ./configure'd with no options, which gave no warnings
or errors. After that a normal make gives the below attached output.
Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong ?
I've also tried removing the examples/ directory. After

Building theora
Hello,
I'm trying to get theora built. However there is not a page listing what
depdencies there are. Would it be possible to have a developers page
with the point release tarballs etc? (There is subversion access, but
I do not have subversion for my OS).
I could not find libtheora release, only an alpha, this wasn't very
clear, it has been released now I think.
The libogg and

Compile Encoder_example.c
Hi,
I'm a highschool student,
I'm looking for information about converting Wave file
(*.wav)
into Ogg file (*.ogg) and i found encoder_example.c
inside libvorbis's example directory. I try to compile
it using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 ,but it goes error

Libvorbis suggestion & floating point exception
Hello,
I'm not quite sure if this is the right list for my questions, please excuse
if it isn't.
1. While using vorbislib (Win2K/Borland C++ Builder 5), I'm getting
reproducible floating point exceptions at lots of sample rate/bit rate
combinations. For example, the original encoder_example.c, with just the
initialization line changed to

Compile problems on libtheora-1.0alpha3
Dear Developers.
As a tester for gnome-2.7 I'm using the garnome build system to build
gnome-2.7. A new part to this set of gnome related programs I neede

compile of libtheora-1.0alpha3. I'm uisng GCC-3.4.0,glibc-2.3.2.
The problems are shown in the log below.
Who can help me solve these issues as I'm no expert

Emscripten is an LLVM-to-JavaScript compiler. It takes LLVM bitcode - which
can be generated from C/C++, using llvm-gcc or clang, or any other language
that can be converted into LLVM - and compiles that into JavaScript, which
can be run on the web (or anywhere else JavaScript can run).
I was able to successfully build libogg, libvorbis and libvorbis examples

libvorbis help
Hi all,
I'm a bit new to using libvorbis, and was hoping for some help with something.
I am trying to take a buffer of PCM audio data, and encode it into a
vorbis stream without blocking. In other words, the sound data is
generated dynamically and continuously by my program, and it needs to
convert this data into an ogg file without disrupting the program.
I can already do this with shell

Encoding from fifo's
Hello, I'm new to the list, so if this is an FAQ, please point me to the
relevant docs.
I'm playing with Theora, to see what kind of quality I can expect (I
realise its not for production use yet). I've download the source from
CVS, and got it to build, with the example encoder and player.
While trying to find something to serve as a good source of input, I
decided I'd use a

theora-exp encoder issue
Hi,
I'm switching from the mainstream theora trunk to the exp one and I
encounter a problem with the encoder.
Every video I encode are played like a 'mosaic', I do not know how to
say that. The picture is just a bunch of coloured pixels.
During the encoding process the video stream is defined like that:
File stream.yuv is 320x240 15.00 fps 420 video.
Why 420 ? Why not YUV like for

c++ Wav->ogg encoder
Hi
I'm new with ogg and also with using third party libraries. I'm making a
C++ PocketPC program and I need a simple wav->ogg encoder function. But as
I have tried to use ogg vorbis libraries I don't know what or how to use
them.
I think that best way would be to use libogg 1.1.3 and libvorbis 1.1.2. Do
I even need both of them, since I only need to have capability of

A script to convert existing video files to Ogg
(Theora/Vorbis) available.
Message-ID: <410011E4.2040904@hut.fi>
Hello,
I noticed that it's quite difficult currently to create Ogg format files
(Ogg Theora for video and Ogg Vorbis for audio). There's only the
encoder_example-program, which is included in the libtheora source
packages, but seemingly not in any libtheora/libtheora-devel packages
that are around the web for e.g.

Tips for theora encoding?
Hi,
I wrote a plugin to enable LiVES (a video editor) to encode
theora/vorbis/ogg files. I'm looking for some advice towards
improving quality. If someone would like to help me
test this please note that you'll need MPlayer, ImageMagick,
sox, the encoder_example from libtheora (somewhere in the PATH),
and Python 2.3.0 (this is fairly all standard stuff).
Consider the following clip:

Theora encoding tips
Hi,
I sent this message to the theora list but I'm not sure if it got
through (activity seems to be very low, regardless). I'm hoping I
have better luck here.

Vorbis encoding using JavaScript
Hello,
First of all, I am a complete newblet to anything dealing with audio (a lot
of the vocabulary is still rather mysterious to me). I also don't often
program in C so please don't throw too many stones if my workflow is less
than ideal. :)
I would like to port the vorbis encoder to JavaScript. Instead of porting
everything by hand from ground up, which would take who-knows-how-long,
