Can't play OGG Vorbis in iTunes but can in QuickTime Player
XiphQT for Windows 0.1.5, iTunes 10.5.0.142, QuickTime 7.7.1, Windows Vista SP2 Home Basic 32 bit. It worked with iTunes 10.0.1.22 (QuickTime 7.6.8). But stopped after last update of iTunes and QuickTime. PS: I can't register on https://trac.xiph.org My error is like an old https://trac.xiph.org/ticket/1289 Anatoly

XiphQT and OSX 10.9
Hi, After running 10.9 for a while, I noticed iTunes would no longer play my ogg files. I found a workaround suggesting that I force iTunes to run in 32 bit mode. After doing this, iTunes informs me that it can only be run in 64 bit mode. The reason appears to be that in 10.9, Quicktime APIs have been largely deprecated. Before I realized that was the cause, I was trying to build 64 bit

XiphQT doesn't export to Ogg Theora
Hi , I tried XiphQT with QuickTime to view all Ogg Theora files and works perfectly. I also try to import these Ogg Theora files into iMovie and works perfectly. But there is a lack of export Ogg Theora function into QuickTime. XiphQT component works well but you can't make Ogg Theora files. There is a way to open a new ticket for this request?

XiphQT / Theora Questions
Hello, I hope this is not an inappropriate list for this. This is the list suggested by http://www.xiph.org/quicktime/ I use Linux exclusively at the moment and do not plan on buying a Mac, but I am working on a CMS including html5 media support. Patent licensing costs forbid decoding proprietary video formats on the server for transcode into Ogg Theora so I am looking for a way that non

can't export from iMovie 08 to ogg theora/vorbis?
Hey, I got this report on irc and I thought I would pass it along. I verified on my machine as well. If you have the XiphQT components installed (I have 0.1.8) and you try to export from iMovie '08 you get a vague dialog that says: Unable to export movie The movie could not be exported because an error occurred. (Error code = -32766) I tried messing with some of the settings, but no

XiphQT with Thusnelda for QuickTime X
Any progress in this issue? Or is the whole XiphQT project dead? Any 64bit package of XiphQT for MacOSX Snow Leopard on its way? Any solution on its way, which works with Quicktime X on Snow Leopard and which doesn't urge/force you to install and use the old Quicktime 7 player? Any solution on its way, solving the /Library/Components problem on MacOSX Snow Leopard/Quicktime X? See: [theora]

XiphQT and QuickTime X
I've just finished installing Apple's shiny new Mac OS X version 10.6 (aka "Snow Leopard.") One of the very first things I did was place XiphQT 0.1.9 into /Library/Components. It appears that it doesn't work with the new QuickTime X: The .ogg and .ogv files are grayed out in the Open File dialog box and cannot be selected. Right-clicking on the file, selecting Open With, and

flac in xiphqt seemengly behaves incorrectly playing 24bit files
Hello, upon installing flac1.2.1 and xiphqt0.1.9 component on a mac, 24bit flac files, whose integrity has been proven and which otherwise decode and reproduce flawlessly, play in quicktime player with wrong volume, i.e exactly 2^8 = 256 times too loud. I guess, the appropriate amplitude scaling routine might have been accidentally omitted somewhere in the code. In case this issue goes

XiphQT
Not sure where to file bugs against XiphQT... I have noticed that Theora encoded videos played through Quicktime (on Mac) using XiphQT are incorrectly reproducing the color of the video, and appear washed out. The same videos can be played via VLC and Firefox and are true to the original - so I don't believe it's a problem with the videos themselves or the encoding. I'm observing

Welcome to the "Vorbis" mailing list
I'm a newcomer to Ogg Vorbis and I am trying to get it to work on my Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Quicktime 7.5.5 so that I can play the following CBC radio stations through iTunes. http://www.cbc.ca/listen/ogg.html I tried XiphQT and couldn't get that to work so I downloaded Ogg Drop. It seemed to install fine, but I still can't get either of those radio stations to play either from

transcoding to theora from quicktime using xiphqt
Hi, I'm trying to convert some quicktime files into Ogg/Theora using the Xiph QuickTime Components version 1.8. The end goal is to stream these files using apache httpd and the cortado applet (and hopefully the embedded players that will be in Firefox soon). Using iMovie DV on OS X 10.4.11 (intel) I'm able to export as an ogg movie, however the resultant file has problems with audio on

Ogg/Vorbis fenced out of Apple's airport airtunes

Importing cds in OGG & FLAC in itunes/OSX
Hi all , Just to be sure : even if we can now use XiphQT to have import/export quicktime function on mac OSX for vorbis and theora , we still can't tell itunes to import a CD in Ogg vorbis , if I have understood ? is this because itunes handle certains things like playing streams and encoding Cds in a non quicktime standard way ? --
