JRuby, JNA, Windows
Hi all, Here''s a short example of how to interface with JRuby and the Windows API I thought I''d share: require ''java'' # LoadLibrary() Kernel32 = com.sun.jna.NativeLibrary.getInstance("kernel32") # GetProcAddress() GetCurrentDirectoryA = Kernel32.getFunction(''GetCurrentDirectoryA'') # You can also do -> buf =

Using Libvirt Java Bindings on Windows 7 64bit
Hi All, Has anybody had any managed to use the libvirt java bindings on Windows 7 64bit (or similar configuration)? I am using Java 6. When I try to use the Test.class delivered with the bindings it always fails with the following error: C:\Users\fwilson\Desktop\libvirt-java-0.4.7>java "-Djna.library.path=C:/Program Files (x86)/Libvirt/lib/" -classpath .;target/classes;jars/* Test

Java client error on Windows 7 64 bit for Libvirt on KVM
Hi, I need some help in building a Java client on Windows 7 64 bit plaftorm to manage a KVM using the libvirt APIs. Using the instructions at http://libvirt.org/java.html, i was able to build libvirt.jar. My understanding is that libvirt.jar uses JNA to call libvirt's native windows library. I tried using the libvirt dlls in the experimental Windows installation package mentioned in

Libvirt java from Windows
I am writing a java based client that would be executed from windows that will use libvirt. 1. Got libvirt-java ( http://libvirt.org/sources/java/libvirt-java-0.4.7.tar.gz) and build a jar out it (ant with no params) 2. Then, according to http://libvirt.org/windows.html, built a dll using the "MSYS build script" 3. Got 2 files libvirt-0.dll and libqemu-0.dll When I

[Flac-users] Trouble Building flac-1.1.0
I am trying to build Flac 1.1.0. Version 1.0.3 built without any problems on this system, but 1.0.4 and 1.1.0 fail during the `make' step. I ran `./configure' without any extra flags, then ran `make'. The following is the errors that make outputs: file_decoder.c:60: parse error before "FLAC__FileDecoderWriteCallback" file_decoder.c:60: warning: no semicolon at end of

JRuby and callbacks?
Hi all, Any Java/JRuby folks on the list? I''d like to see if we can implement api.c for JRuby using JNA and see how it handles the callbacks. I''m not a Java guy, nor do I know JNA, but I''ll take a stab at it if no one else on the list does. Here are a couple of useful links: http://www.infoq.com/news/2007/09/jna-jruby https://jna.dev.java.net/ Regards, Dan This

JRuby version of win32-api - initial try
Hi all, I''ve got a preliminary JRuby version of win32-api checked into CVS at the moment under win32-api/lib/win32/api.rb. I''ve also pasted it below. It doesn''t quite work right in that I can''t get it to modify the arguments in place in the API#call method. Take a look at the sample code at the very bottom to see what I mean. I haven''t even tried

Java Application on 64bit Windows
Hi, I am trying to develop a Java application with libvirt 0.5.1. I am trying this on Windows7 64bit. I downladed libvirt-0.5.1.jar and jna.jar files and added them to the Buildpath. Then I installed VirtViewer for windows 64 bit and copied dll files. In my application if i only use System.setProperty("jna.library.path", PATH_TO_DLL); then i see "UnsatisfiedLinkError: Unable to

Re: [libvirt] JVM crashes during GC
I am attaching the execution results. At the top of each file I have mentioned the environment details. Following is the test program I have used: ================================================== *package* org.libvirt; *import* org.libvirt.jna.Libvirt; *public* *class* LibvirtCrashTest { *void* createAndDestroyDefaultAuthConnection() { ConnectAuth ca = *new* ConnectAuthDefault(); *try*

using libflac++ on a live internet stream
I'm trying to use libflac++ on a live internet audio stream. I don't see anything mentioned in the documentation that suggests this should not be possible, so I hope I'm not chasing down the wrong path (two weeks in). The encoder seems to be working fine and creates data for the write_callback, which I have coded to packetize that data and send it across the network. The question is

Re: [libvirt] JVM crashes during GC
I have tried the same tests using the "test" driver, and that works perfectly; no errors seen. Thanks & Regards Sachin Soman On Thu, Apr 18, 2019 at 11:03 PM Daniel P. Re: [libvirt] JVM crashes during GC
[Update] Instead of passing an auth callback to Connect, if I store the credentials in an INI file and pass the file path as authfile URI parameter, I dont see these errors. Re: [libvirt] JVM crashes during GC
Note: A couple of times I have seen errors while closing the connection (the trace ending with virFree). Also, a few times I have seen backtraces which show the flow going via esx driver and finally failing to close connection. Unfortunately I dont have those logs anymore. The execution results I have shared have been obtained using Libvirt built from source using the following config parameters:
