[PATCH] stream_encoder : Improve selection of residual accumulator width
In the precompute_partition_info_sums_ function, instead of selecting
64-bit accumulator when the signal bps is larger than 16, revert to the
original approach based on partition size, but make room for few extra
bits to not overflow with unusual signals where the average residual
magnitude may be larger than bps.
It slightly improves the performance with standard encoding levels and
16-bit files

About 1.5 years ago I tested AVX2 speed increase on Haswell (i7-4770)
using -8 encoding preset. The biggest difference between AVX2 enabled

But now all C code is compiled with -msse2 and it won't work on older CPUs.
Isn't it better to compile only necessary files with this flag?

[PATCH] cpu.h: add defines for clang
Currently cpu.h lacks FLAC__SSE_TARGET and FLAC__SSEnn_SUPPORTED
macros for clang. I added them, but I cannot properly test them
as I can't get compiled flac.exe under Windows (don't know
how to setup clang under MSYS2).
If somebody has working clang, please test this patch.
Does it affect en/decoding speed?
Or at least, dows it affect disassembly of functions

Thanks!
But for some reason stream_encoder_intrin_sse2.c wasn't
updated by the 2nd patch...

CentOS 3.1 update2 packages released
The CentOS 3.1 update2 packages have now been released.
They are available on mirror.centos.org and should be on all mirrors
within a few hours.
To update just run 'yum update'
Please bugzilla any problems.
There was a problem with the pam build in testing not being linked
against the laus library, so the released version is a .c0 so that anyone
who has installed the testing version

CentOS-3.1 update2
Unless anyone shouts I intend to push all the update2/testing stuff into
updates for 3.1 later on today - say about 22:00 UTC All the security
related updates have already been released.
I am not convinced that lack of feedback means that there are no problems,
more likely it means that not many people have tested the stuff, but I
have had no serious problems and cant do any more testing.

Domain member seems to work, wbinfo -u not (update2)
Ok, I have resolved my problem with this error by recreating my Kerberos keytab file :
net ads keytab create -k
Hope this could help some others people.

[PATCH][ACM][UPDATE2] python tools and support for resource labeling
Same functionality as the previous patches in this series. I have
updated the error handling to correct the problems discovered by Ewan.
This patch successfully completes the xm-test suite on my dev
machine. In addition, we have tested out the affected commands by
hand to ensure that error handling is being done properly. Hopefully
this one will not create any more problems.

[PATCH] More generic version of MSVC bug workaround
There was a fix for a bug in MSVC 2015 update2:
https://github.com/xiph/flac/commit/94a61241b02064c7d9fe508f72a742f2a90b8492
It seems that it's not the only version affected, see comment from
40th in this commit.
Also, JRMC is affected:
https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,115742.0.html
So, it makes sense to remove version check: better safe than sorry,
and performance

[PATCH] for stream_encoder_intrin_*.c
Further refactoring/simplifying.
The 1st patch moves a code that calculates abs. value
into a separate function.
The 2nd patch combines two intrinsic instructions into one line of code.

Domain member seems to work, wbinfo -u not (update2)
New update.
I now have done about 6 machines.
2 with samba 4.2.10 work fine, 2 not.
1 with samba 4.3.7 works fine, 1 not.
I saw Jelmer updated the samba to 4.3.8 in sid, so i recompiled these to jessie.
I upgraded the 4.3.7 to 4.3.8
Same result. Wbinfo -g works, -u not. For both servers.
I notice one strange thing here.
I have 2 servers, both samba 4.2.10, all stock debian

[cfe-dev] Revisiting our informal policy to support two versions of MSVC
Hi,
This sounds like a decent idea to me. However we use 2013 for all our
windows builds at the moment and it will take around 2 weeks to upgrade the
installations on our cluster. We're pushing this hard to get it done soon
so we don't get caught short, but a grace period would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
James

[cfe-dev] Revisiting our informal policy to support two versions of MSVC
Hi,
As I understand it the specific issue we're seeing is related to what
Martin described. But due to numerous bugs found when mixing objects
compiled with different versions of MSVC in the past, we now are shy of
doing it even if it seems to work superficially - that's no guarantee bugs
won't be found down the line. We'd much prefer to stay within the realms of
what Microsoft

[cfe-dev] Revisiting our informal policy to support two versions of MSVC
Apart from the obvious licencing issues, each time I have moved from one
version of VC++ to another, the big problem I have had is not specifically
the ABI at the register passing, stack organisation level, but rather the
implementation details of the Standard C++ libraries, and in particular the
STL containers.
While the compiler team puts considerable effort into maintaining the ABI,
the C++
