Ralph maybe?
My current understanding is that we intend to keep the web site
on flac.sf.net and have a mirror on xiph.org/flac.
On flac.sf.net, we probably don't have SSI, so that's a vote for
a static site. I am however all in favor of whatever can be done

Hi Ralph,
now it would be nice if you could use that new power to either turn
http://flac.sourceforge.net/
into a redirect to
https://www.xiph.org/flac/

Hum. Actually, I just noticed that the website is also in the flac repos itself, under doc/html/

A minimal update would already have a tremendous impact: Just a blurb on the start page that the project is not dead, and a pointer to the new repos and maybe this list / its archive. That way, it would at least be clear where to search for current information.

cucumber - when to stub/mock
I''m just curious about this, since my solution involved stubbing a
call to GeoIp.
Is there a good rule of thumb for when you make exceptions to the ''no
stubbing'' philosophy of Cucumber?
My step was: "Given I am accessing the site from Japan," but I can
think of other situations - mostly when interacting with web services,
that I''d probably

I'd like to have the flac.sf.net website re-directed to
https://www.xiph.org/flac/ . Until the re-direct happens
the rest of the world still points to sf.net.

[PATCH 0/5] update build system
This patch series modernizes various aspects of the autotools
based build system. There is a lot more that could and should be
done, but I tried to stay conservative for now and just resolve
some of the most obvious issues.
Max Horn (5):
configure: replace XIPH_C_FIND_ENDIAN by AC_C_BIGENDIAN
autogen.sh: replace this by a simple call to autoreconf

Shorewall Documentation Updates, Request for Input
Hello,
I have the go ahead to fix documentation. For starters I will clean all
extraneous crap from the markup. Then fix any errors and typos.
If anyone sees any gramatical errors or typos or needed clarifications or
expansions or whatever, please post them here.
Or additional FAQ entries, etc, all will be considered.
I hope to keep most of this conversation on the shorewall-devel list.

Streaming With Flac
We have FLAC support on our AudioReQuest products, and we allow
streaming from our built-in web server for MP3s, but can not get Flac
working. Does anyone know a Windows based player that will play FLAC
streams?
I have tried the Winamp plug-in for FLAC (even updated it to 1.1.0), but
streaming is not working. We use embedded id3 tags instead of Flac
comments if this means anything. Thanks

Flac and SourceForge
Hi, I'm Rich Bowen, the Community Manager at SourceForge. I was just chatting with Fingolfin on IRC about the state of the Flac project, and I wanted to let you know that I've jumped into the fray. As Community Manager, I'm interested in the health of projects, and I spend a lot of time looking at projects like Flac that still get huge numbers of downloads, but haven't cut a

Sourceforge website redirecting
All,
At Erik's request I made flac.sourceforge.net just redirect to
xiph.org/flac/ This will simplify keeping things up to date, since I
never got the sf.net version updating from git.
BTW, I notice the new site has a feed.xml, but no feed.rss. This is
unfortunate since the old front page linked the rss version, and we've
likely just broken people's subscriptions. That's

Lets do a 1.3.2 release
HI all,
I think its time for a new release. The current code base is stable
and I've been building it for x86_64/linux, powerpc/linux, armhf/linux,
x86_64/darwin in a Jenkins build bot. I'm pretty sure others have been
building regularly on their platforms of interest.
I made a first pass on an update to the changelog.html. I' also putting

Error initializing flac stream decoder.
I changed just the FLAC__EntropyCodingMethod_PartitionedRice struct, but
it hasn't changed a thing. I'm still getting the same behaviour.
typedef struct {
unsigned order;
unsigned parameters[1 << 6];
unsigned raw_bits[1 << 6];
} FLAC__EntropyCodingMethod_PartitionedRice;
Any other thoughts?
Thanks,

Updating flac include problems
Updating the fink flac to 1.0.4, it won't compile because finds the
headers of the previous version in /sw/include, because the
CPPFLAGS/CFLAGS are being put before the local includes:
(configure with ./configure --prefix=/sw --mandir=/sw/share/man )
gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_TARNAME=\"\" -DPACKAGE_VERSION=\"\"
-DPACKAGE_STRING=\"\"
