[PATCH] Switch to utimensat for newer POSIX versions
Some libcs like uClibc-ng can optionally disable deprecated functions.
utime is one of them. When done so, both the header and the function go
missing.
This fixes flac_utime to work in such a situation.

Actually there are still some issues with this patch, mainly around
your changes to incluce/FLAC/ordinals.h. This file is a public header
file and hence, your changes:

PATCH : Fix missing protoypes
Hi all,
I added -Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes to the CFLAGS and
found that there were a number warnings generated.
The patch below fixes those warnings and adds the two -W flags to
configure.in.
Cheers,
Erik

Can't cross-compile from git now.

My m4 macro is really simple, TRY_LINK a simple program with the
stack protect CFLAGS:
AC_DEFUN([XIPH_GCC_STACK_PROTECTOR],
[AC_LANG_ASSERT(C)
AC_MSG_CHECKING([if $CC supports stack smash protection])
xiph_stack_check_old_cflags="$CFLAGS"
SSP_FLAGS="-fstack-protector --param ssp-buffer-size=4"

Errors compiling flac in Visual Studio Express 2005
Hi!
I have trouble compiling the flac library using Microsofts free (yes MS
gives it away including the optimizing C++ compiler msvc8.0) Visual Studio
Express 2005.
I get the output shown below. Does anyone have a way to make flac compile in
VS 2005?
Thanks!

I've tested this on x86_64-linux as well, but still no static building
possible (see earlier post on this). Someone over at HydrogenAudio has
successfully built statically linked, but gets all weird kinds of errors

os/2 support using Watcom
The attached set of patches adds support for OS/2 using Watcom compiler
(tested with Open Watcom 1.9). My only interest was building a working
dll (the last patch in the set adds a makefile for it), therefore I did
not touch other places: If there is interest, I can do so.
Regards.

Compiler warnings using gcc-4.1
Hi Josh et al,
I'm compiling on an Ubuntu Edgy x86 machine. Edgy comes standard
with gcc-4.1 and I'm getting a number of warnings:

memory.c:52: warning: cast from pointer to integer of different size

Vorbis on OS/2
Following a few months of lurking on the list, and vainly trying to get vorbis to compile
on os/2, I finally managed to get the nightly gzip from saturday to compile (fairly)
cleanly, and so have finally been able to play with Vorbis on my OS of choice :)
Using the EMX runtime system, and bash for OS/2 (along with a few ported GNU apps),
both configure and make work fine (except for ogg123

lme confusion
Hi, this is my first time using the nlme package, and I ran into the
following puzzling problem.
I estimated a mixed effects model using lme, once using groupedData, once
explicitly stating the equations. I had the following outputs. All the
coefficients were similar, but they're always slightly different, making me
think that it's not due to numerical error.
Also, what is the

[Patch] OS/2 port
[Repost, maybe it will get noticed with a better subject]
So now beta 4 is out is there any chance you guys will have time to review
some of my patches? Here's a simple one. It just adds the standard integer
typedefs for EMX GCC. I've flattened the structure using #elif's so it doesn't
get a level deeper for every platform added but the result should be the same.
I realise

H IV0,
we are using a lot of different cross-compiler (mainly based on GCC 3.4.x)
When I tried to cross-compile FLAC for non-i386 platforms (such as ARM), I use

[PATCH] Fix compile with cygwin
The underscores are wrong. The comment is also correct.
Also remove the configure.ac option. Otherwise it tries to compile the
windows unicode stuff which POSIX(cygwin) does not understand.
