FLAC winamp plugin
Hi,
What is the best way to play FLAC files in winamp?
Using the in_flac.dll plugin provided in the flac-1.1.4-win.zip file and
copying it to the Plugins subdirectory of winamp
or
using the plugin that's provided by winamp itself?
Are there differences between those 2 plugins? It's not really clear for me
thanks in advance
Harry

Re:Icecast with Winamp
I am using only WinAmp 2.x and 5.x
It works in WinAmp2.x and 5.x at the college network (T1 line), but not
at home with cable modem
(even with firewall switched off). It tries to prebuffer over 20 minutes
- 5 second burst of music and then
quits with message (-2:-11). Again, no problem if using FOOBAR2000, but
it would be nice to have it
work in WinAmp.

Patch to remove the dead in_flac project from the MSVC solution
Solution file still contained the removed in_flac project causing
unnecessary errors on load.

FLAC: Windows wildcards support
Hi,
I have read this on the sourceforge site:
Windows wildcards support for FLAC and Metaflac *Private:
(?)<javascript:help_window('/help/tracker.php?helpname=private')>

No The Linux shell support wildcards but not the Windows
shell.
Would it be possible to add wildcard support for
Windows?
Example with Windows:
metaflac --add-replay-gain *.flac
Gives the following error:

OddCastDSPv2 + Winamp 2.91 + SQRSoft crossfader
Hey Oddsock
I couldn't find your email address so sorry for posting to the list.
I know we've had a similar discussion in the past but I'm hoping
something can be arranged to solve this problem. I've just tried your
new OddCastv2 (for Winamp2) with the SQRSoft crossfader hoping that the
old problem had been overcome, however, it is much worse. Winamp simply
exits without any

Sorry for the long rave.

Winamp decoder plugin user-agent ident
Hi:
Have been testing the latest winamp plugins on my icecast2 stream
(http://bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:9000/test.ogg <plug plug>) and I noticed that
in the field where the player/browser is listed in the log entries I see
Mozilla for the winamp plugin. Isn't this ummmm. wrong?
Geoff.

not sure about the mad_fixed_t format, but probably. all samples
coming out of the FLAC decoder are linear PCM 32-bit signed ints.

Re:Icecast with Winamp
Hi,
I can get ices2/icecast2 to broadcast ogg files in a playlist to FOOBAR
in MS-Windows (and various apps in Linux). When I try to connect in
WinAmp in MS-Windows, I get in error.log:

winamp plugin that relies on external dll
Well there is this winamp plugin to play Super Nintendo sound files (*.SPC)
and it doesn't run because it relies on a DLL that it sticks in the
windows/system dir called SNESAPU.DLL (c:\windows\system\SNESAPU.DLL)
Of course, it says it can't find the dll... is there any way for me to tell
WINE where it is?

[Flac-users] Re: detecting encoding parameters?
Darn, I've deleted Josh's response, so I'll work from memory:
Other than displaying block size with metaflac, I'm stumped at how to
find out the -l and -r values and the -m / -M choices, so how does one
determine them?
And to avoid the overhead of a separate post, where does one get the
cnv_flacpcm.wac support file for Winamp 3? It's not in the .zip file,
it's not in

[PATCH] Website patches
Hi all,
Here are a few patches cleaning up the website. Most important is the
change for the download page. There were a lot of unofficial/unsupported
downloads for Windows and Mac in the 'official' section. These have been
moved to the extras section.
Second, I finally got the news feed working in Internet Explorer. It
turns out, after quite some hours of debugging, that IE only
