failed to load avisynth.dll

trying to encode/decode videos using libtheora
I'm trying to learn how to use libtheora but I'm having some problems: I believe to have encoded a video, but I can't decode it. I've tried 2 things: to record a .ogg file and to write a libtheora decoder, using the encoded ogg_packets present in memory. The source code is here: http://opensvn.csie.org/ribamar/projects/streaming/cvaenc.c (it has a makefile in

Universal procedure to know if wine can run 32 bits apps
Hi, I'm preparing a training session on avisynth (running under wine) for a local linux user group (LUG). In the list of prerequisites for people attending this training session, they will have to install wine on their computer. Since we will be using only the 32 bits version of avisynth, it will be mandatory that their version of wine is able to run 32 bits apps. My problem is that I neither

Unsupported: Missing MS Sans Serif SBT Pro 5.0
Hello, I'm trying to run SBT Pro 5.0 (VFP 5 app) via Wine, but it's been a while. I have to add 4 windows DLL's to get it to this point, but during startup I get a Window that says: "Font: MS Sans Serif not found" This is a VFP application error box. It it not a Windows error, and it is not a Visual Foxpro error. It appears the app itself is doing some sort of check.

eDrawings gives Unsupported File Format
I am trying to run eDrawings under Wine. Tried 1.2 and 1.3 on both, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid in 32 and 64bit. I try to open an assembly and get "Unsupported File Format". The assembly opens just fine when I run eDrawings under Windows. Does anybody have any ideas? Do I need a winetrick?

fixme:mountmgr:harddisk_ioctl unsupported ioctl 4d004
the subject says it all :-) I reinstalled wine (see a previous post) due to some errors I was having, and deleted anything in ~/.wine and everywhere else as per http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#uninstall I then reinstalled my app (Treepad), which ALWAYS worked in wine. The install goes ok, while at launch I get this: fixme:mountmgr:harddisk_ioctl unsupported ioctl 4d004 err:seh:setup_exception_record

Samba printing to unsupported linux printers
I am in somewhat of a dilemma. I purchased a Xerox DocuPrint P8 a while back, and recently have tried to set it up on my linux box as a networked printer. The print drivers are only available in Win*, therefore the printer will never work with linux. (It's a "winprinter") When I tried to set it up using lpr, the page would print about half way, then stop. My question is, is it
