Writing out csv files
In my code, I calculate the maximum values with 2 factors using
maxr=with(arrdf, tapply(rate,list(weekday,quarter), max, na.rm=T))
and I want to write out the file so that Excel can read it.
I used
write.table(maxr, fname, sep=",", col.names=TRUE, row.names=TRUE,
quote=TRUE, na="0")
which works, and yields something like

Encoder off by one
If you encode with
int iByteSizeEncoded = opus_encode(m_enc, m_ShortsInput,
(1920/sizeof(short)), m_EncodedBytes, (960*6));
... the byte size is 120.
I thought that an odd value like 359 has to be a fault on my side.
I thought it would be a multiple of something.
So 359 is really correct???
Thank you for clearing this up.

Encoder off by one
Why does opus_encode return 359, and not 360, please?
This is my code:
int iShortsRead = fread(m_RawBytes, sizeof(short),
(5760/sizeof(short)), fin);
for(int i=0;i<iShortsRead;i++)
{
opus_int32 s;
s=m_RawBytes[2*i+1]<<8|m_RawBytes[2*i];
s=((s&0xFFFF)^0x8000)-0x8000;
m_ShortsInput[i]=s;
}

Counting number of consecutive occurrences per rows
Hi,
I would appreciate if somebody could help me with following calculation.
I have a dataframe, by 10 minutes time, for mostly one year data. This is
small example:

combining matrices
Heja,
I hope someone is still there to help me:
How can I somehow merge/combine matrices to get such a result:
Matrix A
A B
x1 1 0
x2 1 1
Matrix B
C D
x3 1 0
x4 0 1
Resulting Matrix?
A B C D
x1 1 0 0 0
x2 1 1 0 0
x3 0 0 1 0
x4 0 0 0 1
Does anyone see this probably obvious solution with R how to do this?
Sorry if this question is silly...it's too hot here to think properly ;O)

dll problem with C++ function
Dear fellow R-users,
I have the problem of being unable to repeatedly use a C++-function
within R unless by dyn.unloading/dyn.loading it after each .C call.
The C++-code (too large to attach) compiles without problem using R CMD
SHLIB. It loads (using dyn.load("myfun.so")) and executes (via .C(myfun,
...) ) properly. The function returns no object, only reads files from
disk,

OPUS implementation with FPGA
Hi,
We would like to use the OPUS codec @ 16 kHz sampling rate and max 32 kbps.
What about implementing an OPUS coder and decoder in an FPGA? Has this been done? Would either coder or decoder more suitable for FPGA implementation?
Best regards

[LLVMdev] alloca on Win32

_alloca is used to probe the stack, if you asks for locals of size more
that 4k. This is pretty ugly, but the names of this functions differs

[LLVMdev] alloca on Win32
Hi
Thanks for the info, it led to the source of the error I was having.
I was using llvm-gcc binaries (built with mingw I guess) to compile a .c
file that is my language runtime, llvm-link'ing that with my frontend's .ll,
and using an vcpp-built lli to run the resulting bytecode. This caused the
special case in X86RegisterInfo::emitPrologue for "main" to try to align the
stack

[LLVMdev] alloca on Win32
The alloca hook is in lib\System\Win32\DynamicLibrary.inc all the way at the
bottom. You'll see a __MING32__ #ifdef around the definition. You just have
to implement those methods and it'll work just fine.

Ah, you're in luck then: an MSP430 backend was checked in to SVN today
:) I don't think it's mature enough for general use yet, though.

Unexpected opus_encode results when doubelling frame size
Hello!
I have been using
int iByteSizeEncoded = opus_encode(m_enc,
m_ShortRawInput,960,m_EncodedBytes, 4000);
iByteSizeEncoded was 120 as expected.
Now when I double the frame size...
int iByteSizeEncoded = opus_encode(m_enc,
m_ShortRawInput,960*2,m_EncodedBytes, 4000);
... iByteSizeEncoded is not 240 as expected, but 239.
This seems really odd to me since 239 bytes could not even be

[LLVMdev] alloca on Win32
Hello, Chuck.

I think the problem is the same. But... Cygwin is handled separately,
because it's really more unix-like, that e.g. mingw32. Even more, it
uses "unix" variant of libSystem. Probably you have to introduce the
same hook (as for mingw32 / vcpp) there.

Alternate winamp plugin.
Hello everyone,
I just thought that you should know that I was talking to someone the other
day and it seems that someone fairly close to Nullsoft has created his own
winamp plugin. I'm just suggesting this as an alternate plugin for those
that wish to try it. I had nothing to do with writing it so please don't
e-mail me about it. It's slightly more finished than the current winamp

Vorbis support in Winamp
I would like you guys to test the latest version of my plug-in:
http://www.blorp.com/~peter/zips/in_vorbis.zip
This one is considered the final version and there are no known bugs in it,
but you might be able to find some.
quick notes:
* HTTP seeking is as slow as hell, don't use it.
* UTF8 stuff should (finally) work correctly now.

Winamp 2.80 Vorbis problem confirmed on my comp
I first downloaded Winamp Lite, which did not have Vorbis
plugin, and installed the latest PP Vorbis plugin:
http://www.blorp.com/~peter/zips/in_vorbis.exe
That did not work, for some reason.
Afterwards, I downloaded the Standard version and tried playing
ogg files: it didn't work either. I installed the latest PP
Vorbis plugin over this version, but still the same.
What's up??
