MPI implementations of fanny or cmeans
I've done a little digging, but I haven't been able to find an MPI or snow (or any other distributed processing) implementation of fanny (from cluster) or cmeans. Is anyone aware of some implementations or addons which I've missed? changing pen mode [or adjusting for overlapping points?]
I'm ploting a rather large number of points [~24,000] in two series with slightly different distributions. I would like to be able to effectively see where the two distributions overlap by setting the pen mode (or it's equivalent) to allow the overlapping portion to show up as a different color (or different shade). Unfortunatly, I couldn't find an option in par or postscript that

Ubuntu cran2deb PPA
Dear Michael, I was looking up the status of the cran2deb effort and notice that you now have a PPA where new packages are landing and being built for Ubuntu. It looks like this is still a work in progress, but is already a fantastic resource for me and I hope it is something that you can continue to operate. I'm now installing many of these packages but some things I need are missing.

win7 domain pc to standalone samba server
I'm trying to map a network drive using my workplace's Win7 laptop to a fileserver at home. The Win7 laptop is joined to the work domain. The fileserver is my own standalone fileserver, not joined to any domain, and is configured to be accessible to everyone without authentcation. I'm not able to get this to work, with varying error messages from Windows ("The account is not

server signing broken for non-kerberos auth
I'm working with the Solaris bundled version of samba 3.5.5 and having a problem with server signing. samba is configured into an active directory domain with security = ads. However, connections from clients not in the domain fail: ----- >net use /user:WIN\henson \\ike.unx.csupomona.edu\henson Enter the password for

Signing problem with trusted domain in 3.2.0
Hello I seem to be having signing problems with 3.2.0 I have 2 PDCs on 2 different sites (say A and B) both running 3.2.0, with the line server signing = auto in smb.conf. There is a one way trust (B trusting A) setup. While everything works correctly on both sites for local machines access to local shares (a site A user logged on a site A machine can perfectly access shares of site A PDC). The

two small-ish optimizations (death by a thousand cuts)
This lpc_restore_order was partially inspired by Miroslav's affd, though my (not very great) ARM asm version resembled this, as well. The other two reduce CPU array indexing overhead in loops a little. Additionally, a request for help: My not very optimized lpc_restore_signal is at the below URL, I couldn't get the ldm* instructions to work as advertised, even though I've talked

ogg123 remote interface
Hi, I've been working on ogg123 to see if i could add a remote interface compatible with the one in mpg123. This remote interface is used mainly by mp3 players which use mpg123 as their backend. The reason i did this was that i have recently encoded some of my cd's in ogg vorbis format but wanted to keep using my favourite player (playmp3list,
