Converting pfm to afm files
Hi,
I need a ascii format of the type1 metric file (.afm) but I have a binary
metric file (.pfm) only.
Is there a way to convert pfm to afm format?

CentOS 4.x and ooh323
I'm trying to add ooh323c to my asterisk 1.2.7.1 install and did an svn
update of asterisk-addons and followed the readme in asterisk-ooh323c and I
get through the .configure with no errors. But make causes:
rpath /usr/local/lib -L./ooh323c/src -version-info 1:1:0 -lpthread
make: rpath: Command not found
make: [libchan_h323.la] Error 127 (ignored)

How do I go about this
hello all.
I have a dual boot laptop running XP and RH3. I tried
to install wine but because my XP is on NTFS I could
not link to that partition.
So, I have burned all my personal files to CD and am
wondering what to do next:
1) I suppose I could install another windows operating
system like 98. Drawback is that when I do use
Windows, XP tends to handle the plug and play features
better (like

Computer algebra in R - would that be an idea??
>From time to time people request symbolic computations beyond what D() and deriv() etc can provide. A brief look at the internet shows that there are many more or less developed computer algebra packages freely available. Therefore, I wondered if it would be an idea to try to 'integrate' one of these packages in R, which I guess can be done in more or less elegant ways... I do not know

Dovecot don't recognise new messages in maildir /new
Hi,
i'm google for it and i searched the archives, but i can't find the problem i have or a hint for a solution.
I'm using Postfix as MTA, the new messages deliver by postfix to the maildir:
/mail/domain.tld/userpart/new/
Dovecot sometimes show the new mails directly (it's very unusual) but mostly it needs for an hour that dovecot recognize the new messages.

The current state of palm syncing on Linux?
I've been searching around on the internet trying to find out about
conduits and options for syncing programs with my Palm Pilot device.
Google searches turn up a lot of discussion on the matter over a two or
three year period, everything from people talking about doing it or how
it should be done or how much they want it done.
But I can't actually determine what, if any, tangible

I'm using the latest version of dovecot on my FreeBSD 4.x box with
OpenPKG to keep other services up to date. Now...I'm able to get pbsmtp
to allow relaying through postfix on this server using UW IMAP, but I
would like to get dovecot working with relaying...but pbsmtp is not
adding the ip when I uncomment the dovecot section after I authenticate.

ipsec-netfilter patches for 2.6.9
The patches may be found at:
http://shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/contrib/IPSEC
ftp://shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/contrib/IPSEC
I found these patches on the netfilter-devel list and make no warranties
as to how well they work (or not).

API implementation "HOWTO"
Maybe my imagination is overactive, but I seem to remember reading some-
thing in the vein of a HOWTO/tutorial on adding a Win32 API call to
Wine. It discussed the SPEC file, header files, etc.
I've searched the winehq website and the source tree, but I can't seem
to find this. Anyone know what I'm thinking of?
Thanks!

Pure win32-thread library?
Hi all,
Here''s my initial stab at a pure Ruby win32-thread library that doesn''t
work at all. I''m not sure how to pass the start address of the arguments
to the callback. I thought about Marshal, but you can''t marshal a proc.
BTW, the CreateThread method in windows-pr needs to be updated for this
to have any hope of success.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

[LLVMdev] Proposal: ASan debugging API
Hi,
I would like to improve the debugging experience for ASan. The idea is to
have a couple of useful commands in LLDB (probably implemented as Python
scripts) that could help the user when they are debugging an ASan-enabled
binary. We already have some debugging API (asan_interface.h):
// Print the description of addr (useful when debugging in gdb).
void __asan_describe_address(void

T.38 "client" for Linux?
I am looking for a simple way to send occasional faxes via the FXO
port on my SPA3102 -- without having to connect a fax modem to an
ATA. In an ideal world, this would be some sort of "softfax" that
runs on my Linux desktop and talks (via Asterisk) to the SPA3102 with
T.38.
This is one of those things that I thought would be relatively
straightforward, but a couple of hours of Googling

Samba Start
How are you verifying? Have you tried using top and looking for smbd and
nmbd? Swat may be giving you erroneous info if that is what you are using to
verify. Hope this helps...

GUI client?
It's very nice to see that NUT now supports my Belkin Universal UPS.
Great work!
Now I'm wondering if there's a GUI client that will build/run on a
modern distribution. KNutClient requires an outdated version of Qt,
and the "UPS Monitor" link leads to a Spanish error page.
Thanks!

Lockups with kernel-2.6.32-358.0.1.el6.i686
I updated my home server with the 6.4 CR packages, and I've experienced
3 or 4 hard lockups since. The server is a fanless VIA C7
"CentaurHauls" system with a 1GHz CPU underclocked to 800MHz and 1GB of
RAM. It has a dual-port Intel 82546GB NIC in its single PCI slot. (It
also has an on-board Realtek RTL-8110SC/8169SC NIC that is plugged in,
but doesn't currently have an IP
