make dllimport/dllexport attributes work with mingw (and others)
The following patch changes export.h so that the dllimport/dllexport attributes work with mingw/mingw-w64 and others: - changes _declspec keyword to __declspec: the former may not be defined by some toolchains. - changes the _MSC_VER condition to universally _WIN32: MSVC, as well as GCC supports this. Attached patch: declspec.diff Regards. -- O.S. -------------- next part --------------

flac-1.3.1pre1
Hi all, As people may have seen there's a pre-release here: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/flac/beta/ Specifically: flac-1.3.1pre1.tar.xz : The source code flac-1.3.1pre1-win.zip : Windows 32 and 64 bit binaries Please test. I'm particularly interested in hearing about the windows binaries which were cross compiled from Linux to Windows. Unfortunately there is a bug

Updated CFLAGS patches and make test compilation conditional
Hi Erik, I've found a middleground for the problem of setting default CFLAGS. I've gone back to setting them if {C,CXX,CPP,LD}FLAGS are unset at the onset of the configure script (i.e., the user hasn't specified anything) and then proceed to set them to the defaults as before. This has been suggested before: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf/2006-04/msg00022.html In

libflac++ reading vorbis metadata
I'm trying to use libFLAC++ v1.1.2, to read Song information (like artist, trackname etc..). So.. I read metadata from file FLAC::Metadata::get_streaminfo("somefile.flac", infosik); and It's ok - no error, then I read vorbis info: FLAC::Metadata::VorbisComment vorbis_kom(infosik); int number_of_comments = vorbis_kom.get_num_comments(); and after that I have

Compiling problem flac 1.0.4 Mandrake 9.0 gcc 3.2
Hi, I just read the thread about making 3dnow optimisations default and thought I would test it as I have an AMD here. Unfortunately I can not even compile with default (no 3dnow) options. ./configure goes fine including this part: checking whether to build static libraries... yes checking whether -lc should be explicitly linked in... no creating libtool checking for g++... no checking for

Using libFLAC++
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm attempting to add flac playback to my app, and would like a couple of pointers. First of all, I'm very much a "learn by seeing other people doing" sort of programmer, and would love a pointer to an open-source app that uses libFLAC++, so I could see how they do it. Second, I'm having problems with my simple test app

[Flac-users] FLAC 1.0.4 build issue
Hi, I gave up on 1.0.4 on my osx machine for the time being, but needed it on a linux machine this morning. Grabbed 1.0.4 and it seemed to build ok, but doesn't pass make check. Sorry if this is redudant information. I've seen a few posts recently and can't tell if it is or not. flac-1.0.3 on the same machine builds, checks and runs fine. thanks, mike ERROR: iterator claims

autotools buglet
I had trouble building because configure.in did not include the test_grabbag/picture/Makefile entry for Makefile generation. This patch rectifies that situation. This is with flac cvs as of this morning. Check level not passed to tests
Hi all, For testing a few mingw-builds I tried to use ./configure --disable-thorough-testing (because testing in a virtual machine through mingw isn't really fast) but it turned out this setting doesn't do anything. It turns out these configuration options aren't passed to the test scripts at all. I do not fully understand how Makefiles or environment variables work, but my

[PATCH 0/5] Allow multiple targets to be disabled
Hi, This patchet allows a few targets to be disabled when unrequired. The rational is coming from VLC's contrib buildsystem, so far we use make -C to select only some subparts of the available targets. It would be easier and cleaner to use autoconf to do so IMHO. There's an additional patch which fixes the build when building for WinRT/UWP platform, upstreamed from VLC. We have a couple
