24-bit audio?
According to http://flac.sourceforge.net/format.html#metadata_block_streaminfo : "FLAC supports from 4 to 32 bits per sample. Currently the reference encoder and decoders only support up to 24 bits per sample. " This is why I'm confused. I though one of the benefits of FLAC was it's ability to encode in word lengths longer than 16 bits. MW -----Original Message----- From:

flac-1.0.3_beta released
Awesome, I'm psyched for 1.0.3.... the ID3v1 winamp2 support will be a neat addition, as is the faster decodes. Will 24-bit audio play nice with the final public version of 1.0.3? Two asterisks on one machine
Hello friends, Can I run two asterisks running simultaneously on the same machine? I want one to run v1.0.2 for h323 ( which is an old and running production system ) and one for sip implementation. I wonder how it can be done since they will want access to the same ports and ip addresses. Does anyone know to do this or has done this before? Please share your experiences please.

The codec can not support multi-thread ?
Hi! everybody: We used opus-codec for a VOIP gateway. The GW is running at a UBUNTU server. The opus stream is transcoded to G711 pcmu stream.So there are many opus codecs running simultaneously. We noticed that if there more than 5 streams in. the voice then has notisable glitchs.More streams in, worse voice got. Then we write test code for opus-codec which encode a .pcm file simultaneously.

Oggenc: Bug or feature?
Hi, I just came across some behaviour in oggenc that I didn't expect and wondered if this was intentional or not. I was wanting to encode a Cd which has more than one artist, but several tracks per artist. The command I entered took the form of: oggenc -n "%n - %a - %t.ogg" -a artist1 -N 1 -t title1 -N 2 -t title2 -N 3 -t title3 -a artist2 -N 4 -t title4 -N 5 -t title5 -a

IAX2->SIP->meetme = ZOMBIE
Hi all, I'm experiencing a problem with SIP channels going ZOmBIE after the following sequence of events: - IAX2 client calls SIP client - SIP client consultive transfers (using sip REFER) the call to a MeetMe extension, and hangs up. At this point, the IAX2 client will indeed be in the meetme room, but a 'show channels' at the * CLI reveals that the SIP channels that were involved

zaptel and low ring voltage
Hi all, Several months ago we built an * box with a quad-FXO tdm400p (REV e/f). >From the get-go, there has been a problem where occasionally (2-3 times a week) zaptel/* will not detect the ringing on a line. (The call will ring through to telco voicemail). The problem is not specific to a single line or FXO port on the tdm400p. I have 2 theories: #1 - the ring voltage for some calls is

Request to speed up save()
Hi, I am dealing with very large datasets and it takes a long time to save a workspace image. The options to save compressed data are: "gzip", "bzip2" or "xz", the default being gzip. I wonder if it's possible to include the pbzip2 (http://compression.ca/pbzip2/) algorithm as an option when saving. "PBZIP2 is a parallel implementation of the bzip2

Does the keyword/action discard work by default or is there something I have to do in the configuration to get to work... maybe I missed something on http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve I have the following rule: if anyof ( header :contains ["Subject"] ["Test Discard"] ) { discard; stop; } but it delivers to INBOX with or w/o the "stop;". new SEEKTABLE block
I've checked in code that supports a new metadata block called SEEKTABLE. Basically, it is an optional, arbitrarily-long list of seek points, by sample number and stream offset. I also added command-line options to flac so you can specify seek points by specific sample number and/or a specific number of evenly-spaced seek points. The table cost about 18 bytes per seek point. This seems to
