Also postet it to the developers of electriQ, but it's a closed source
project and there's not much activity in their forum,
so i'm not sure if anybody is fixing this very soon.
Furthermore I think the problem is more likely in the Winamp2 Flac

Re:Icecast with Winamp
I am using only WinAmp 2.x and 5.x
It works in WinAmp2.x and 5.x at the college network (T1 line), but not
at home with cable modem
(even with firewall switched off). It tries to prebuffer over 20 minutes
- 5 second burst of music and then
quits with message (-2:-11). Again, no problem if using FOOBAR2000, but
it would be nice to have it
work in WinAmp.

OddCastDSPv2 + Winamp 2.91 + SQRSoft crossfader
Hey Oddsock
I couldn't find your email address so sorry for posting to the list.
I know we've had a similar discussion in the past but I'm hoping
something can be arranged to solve this problem. I've just tried your
new OddCastv2 (for Winamp2) with the SQRSoft crossfader hoping that the
old problem had been overcome, however, it is much worse. Winamp simply
exits without any

Sorry for the long rave.

New Winamp release
Hi,
<p>today, Winamp unaskedly notified me of a new release, v2.78. I checked
the what's-new-page on winamp.com (it does only mention a few fixes and
cddb2 support, not that I needed that) and downloaded the full install,
hoping that Ogg Vorbis support is finally included. D'oh, since I
installed it into the 2.77 install directory will all the plugins
already installed, I can't

Re:Icecast with Winamp
Hi,
I can get ices2/icecast2 to broadcast ogg files in a playlist to FOOBAR
in MS-Windows (and various apps in Linux). When I try to connect in
WinAmp in MS-Windows, I get in error.log:

noobie questions
Just a note: This is similar to the problems I am (still) having. I too am using Redhat9 (Icecast2 and Ices2).
I've used Winamp2 (Zinf tells me the data is corrupted), but instead of the high-pitched noise you describe - I get dead silence. Of course, everything leads me to believe that the connection is healthy and the stream is working.

Winamp 3 plugin and flac 1.0.3
When I copy the winamp 3 plugin into the appropriate winamp folder, and
start winamp, Winamp complains that it cannot find MSVCRTD.DLL
Was the plugin mistakenly compiled as Debug and shipped that way?
Any way for me to get the winamp3 plugin that isn't debug? I do not have
MSVC++ to recompile it.

Winamp plugin installation
Okay, this is a nitpick but I gotta do it. First the background: I'm
trying to convince a diehard mp3 coworker of mine to use ogg for his
personal project along side of mp3 and having a tough time. His gripe is
that the default players all support mp3 (Winamp and wma) but not ogg and
that his listeners won't want to go out and install it. We have now set up
a huge shared drive on the

24-bit support in winamp2 plugin
OK, I finally fixed the linear dithering code in the Winamp 2
plugin. I have not figured out all the whiz-bang GUI-based
configuration stuff yet so as it stands the plugin will play
back 24-bit FLAC files and dither them down to 16-bit. I
don't know how to check if the output module supports 24-bit
either, but you can recompile the plugin without the
#define FLAC__DO_DITHER to force it to do

Winamp plugin.
Hello again,
Not sure if the following is a bug or just something on my computer. Ok,
here's the problem. Today I downloaded the new pre-built beta4 winamp
plugin. I've had earlier versions of the winamp plugin for vorbis
installed, and every previous one has worked fine. What seems to be
happening is that on exit vorbis is causing an error. I'm using the latest
version of winamp

FLAC winamp plugin
Hi,
What is the best way to play FLAC files in winamp?
Using the in_flac.dll plugin provided in the flac-1.1.4-win.zip file and
copying it to the Plugins subdirectory of winamp
or
using the plugin that's provided by winamp itself?
Are there differences between those 2 plugins? It's not really clear for me
thanks in advance
Harry
