Patch to get impulse response from echo canceller
Hi,
Here's the second attempt of a patch to get the impulse response from the
echo canceller :)

Fixed-point scaling of mdf impulse response
Hi,
I made a small error in the impulse reponse function; when doing the
inverse fft in fixed point, it will overflow unless it's properly scaled.
This patch uses the same scaling as that used when updating the filters,
and the outputs now have the same shape and the same scale in fixed
and floating point.
Best regards,
Thorvald

Patch for Analog Devices compiler & fixed-point AGC
Hi Jean-Marc,
As I told you, bank is a reserved keyword in Analog Devices compiler for
Blackfin architecture.
So we need to change the variables named bank to something else.
Here's a patch that changes bank to bnk in the 3 concerned files.
(Hope the format is OK)
About my previous problems with the Blackfin:
-> strange block repetition that could be cancelled by the AEC

Patch to make analysis data available.
Hi,
Ref the disucussion on IRC yesterday; here's a patch which makes a bit
more data from the analysis of the preprocessor and the echo canceller
available.
For the preprocessor:
- Size of power spectrum.
- Power spectrum and noise estimate of the previous frame.
These are given as squared values, so sqrt() to get values in the
0->32767 range.
- Current amplification level

[ANNOUNCE] PocketPC Port for speex-1.1.5 with sample code
I emailed Jean-Marc the arch.h about one week ago, not quite sure whether he
actually received that email.
Anyway, here I have an improved version of arch.h that I believe that it
would be better, to use __int64 only if compiling on eMbedded Visual C++
compiler, so for any other compiler, keep it the same (use long long)

AEC FFT replacement for TI 55x
I am in the process of dropping the TI DSP lib fft routines into the AEC.
Currently, FFTWrap.c uses the USE_SMALLFT and USE_KISS_FFT to select between
two packages of FFT routines. ]
#ifdef USE_SMALLFT
...
#elif defined(USE_KISS_FFT)
...
#else
#error No other FFT implemented
#endif
My guess is that every DSP and many other processors will have their own
specific FFT and iFFT. What method

GCC/ELF Visibility patch
Hi,
I've attached a patch against SVN r14645 which adds GCC visibility
information to all symbols exported from libspeex.so and libspeexdsp.so.
It includes a configure.ac change to test that both the compiler flags and
__attribute__((visibility)) works, and if so will
#define EXPORT __attribute__((visibility("default")))
and if not
#define EXPORT
I've attached a diff output

Re: AEC FFT replacement for TI 55x
Hi Jerry,
I'd say the best would be to simply replace the
#ifdef USE_SMALLFT
by
#ifdef USE_TI_FFT
#include "ti_fft_wrapper.h"
#elif defined(USE_SMALLFT)
and have everything in the include file. There's no real point in
overriding individual functions since they all go together.
Also, make sure you wrap the FFT in the same way as I did with the
fixed-point kissfft. For example,

Introduction and patch
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the patch, I'll apply it to svn. One question, why do you
need this:
+void kiss_fftri2(kiss_fftr_cfg cfg,const kiss_fft_scalar
*freqdata,kiss_fft_scalar *timedata);

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi all,
I'm very new in this list, as looking for codes to plug up the lack of
functionality of "Protocol 2 Remote Forwardig".
Fortunately, I could find it in MARC's archive. Mr. Jarno Huuskonen
posted the codes in Sept, last year, and I tried applying it to my
FreeBSD box environment.
I couldn't apply an original patch, of course, for incompatibility of
virsion. The

Help about error in linking to libspeex.a
Thanks for the reply,
i added (LDFLAGS += -L/usr/local/lib -lspeex -lm) to Makefilebut the error is still appearing !

i am trying to guess what is missed to correctly link to the lib .Do you have suggestions?

Help about error in linking to libspeex.a
Hi All,
i have configured speex1.2rc1 for xscale-elf (ARM architecture) ,then executed MAKE and MAKE INSTALL. so, i obtained libspeex.a in the /usr/local/lib with libogg.a compiled as well. but i when i link the library to my program (by adding LDFLAGS += -lspeex -lm ), and try to compile, i get this error:
/usr/lib/gcc/xscale-elf/3.4.3/../../../../xscale-elf/bin/ld: cannot find -lspeex

Reseting Echo State
Hello guys,
I want to make echo tail parameter in my app changeable during run-time.
So my question is:f
Should I use speex_echo_state_reset function for this? Just call
speex_echo_state_init function with new values after that?
Or perform a full de-initialization and initialize echo cancellation
with new tail value?
I'm also using preprocessor - does the same apply to it?

using reshape to do ANOVA mixed models
Hi,
I just started with R and I found that there are many options to rearrange
the data to do mixed models.
I want to use the reshape function. I have 2 between subject variables and
one within.
I was able to change the data structure but still - the result of the aov
functions are calculating everything as a within subject.
the table looks like this:

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi !
Here's a patch to add remote port forwarding support (protocol 2) for
openssh. I have tried to test that it works like it should but a more
thorough testing is needed. This patch adds both client/server support.
The patch should be applied to openssh-2.1.1p4 source tree.
Also included is a PortForwarding sshd_config option, new ./configure
option --disable-forwarding that should make it

problems with encoding speex
Hi,
I have downloaded the speex1.2rc1 and am trying to develop my own
encoding and decoding applications on top of that. However, to start
with I have used the same sample applications provided in the manual
in the speex site. Since I am using th microsoft code *.wav files as
reference, have made modification the encoding application to skip the
wave header and the insert back the header in the

Speex on TI C6x, Problem with TI C5x Patch
Hi Jean-Marc, Hi Jim,
I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I
have boiled down the issues to the following:
1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't
had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the
attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline
functions.

Cross-compiling speex
Hi all,
I'm cross-compiling speex for a GNU/Linux ARM target.
I want to compile only the libraries, and not the speex executables.
I don't have a libogg cross-compiled, and would prefer the need to
have to set it up.
Unfortunately:
1/ the speex executables depend on libogg header files,
although, the speex executables are only compiled if the libogg header
files are available
2/ the
