visual studio 2005 - help getting speex workin'
Hey there, I'm having trouble getting speex working with a project that uses it. For some quick background, the game Quake 3 was GPL'ed a while ago. Some programmers decided to throw it into a public svn and improve on it, called it ioquake3. One of the blokes integrated speex into ioquake3 and it works, but I have troubles getting it to compile/link properly with Visual Studio 2005. I

VAD speex 1.2rc1
My data is speech sampled as pcm mono 32khz. I want to use vad for regulating the agc gain mechanism. So... if voice is not detected I just reduce the agc value in order to not amplify the 'silence' otherwise we just increase the agc value if it is below the minimum. VAD performance worse on version 1.2rc1 than 1.1.12
Hi, I decide to write to the list because of a strange behaviour when updating from version 1.1.12 to 1.2rc1. My software was running fine with version 1.1.12, but now I want to benefit from advances on AEC. After updating the library to 1.2rc1 and do few changes on my sources, I run the application and discovered that VAD doesn't work so fine as in previous version 1.1.12 (3 years ago). I

1.2rc1
I am in the process of adding speex 1.2rc1 to a project of mine, not via compiling as a static library yet including the source and compiling with my own to create a dynamic link library. This worked fine with the last beta release yet is causing problems with this release candidate. The problem is in the file scal.c which is about M_PI being undefined, this file was added to speex in said

Speex 1.2rc1 is out, status update
Hi everyone, I've just released Speex 1.2rc1. This adds support for acoustic echo cancellation with multiple microphones and multiple loudspeakers. It also adds an API to decorrelate loudspeaker signals to improve multi-channel performance. In the bugfix department, there are fixes for a few bugs in the echo canceller, jitter buffer and preprocessor. At this point, the API for 1.2 should be

Generating 1.2rc1 DLLs with MSVC 2005
Hi Emanuel, That'll be me!! Bear with me, if you will, it's been a long time since I looked at this but I'll try to get an answer to you within the next few days once I've had a chance to re-explore what it was that I did! regards John Emanuel Aguilera Mart? wrote: > Dear all, > > > > In the download section of the Speex web site, you can find the Windows

1.2rc1 windows binaries
Hi guys, Are there 1.2rc1 windows binaries available for download? I downloaded source code and tried to build in Windows but could not build the executables. When I did the first step(in Windows cygwin terminal), ./configure --prefix=D:/cygwin/home/builder/pc/speex I got the configuration finished but informed that: **IMPORTANT** You don't seem to have the development package for libogg

VAD performance worse on version 1.2rc1 than 1.1.12
Thank you, but I am thinking about trying to move VAD implementation from 1.1.12 to 1.2. I'm not sure about how difficult it could be (maybe impossible due to Jean Marc has disappear). Have you tried this? Cecile. 2009/8/10 jesus <jmorion at toomeeting.com> > Hi Cecile, > > it seems it is a tabu theme, or nobody uses VAD on speex. I've tried > with external EasyVAD

VAD performance worse on version 1.2rc1 than 1.1.12
Hi Cecile, it seems it is a tabu theme, or nobody uses VAD on speex. I've tried with external EasyVAD solution but the result was not as spected. Other users of the list suggest an algorithm to filter voice based on the power of the signal, but of course, it is not a voice activity detection. I am waiting also a solution for this, while so I use version 1.1.12. Regards. Cecile Dumotier

Yeah, MSVC projects in the published RC1 sources are broken. I've sent fixes to Jean-Mark, and I hope they've gotten their way to the git.

rpec 0.7.4/ rails 1.2rc1 troubles
I believe that I have followed these directions exactly: http:// rspec.rubyforge.org/documentation/rails/install.html My new spec tests work, but my old Test::Unit test don''t produce any output. The only clue I have anything is happening at all are these messages in log/test.log: Spec::Rails::HelperEvalContextController: missing default helper path
