Re: 5. Re: how to build libspeex_armce.lib ? (patrick andrieux)
Hi Dave, I tried defining ARM5E_ASM and ARM4_AS, and you are right, it doesn't compile, But I can't say if the problem come from the Microsoft compiler, because if it doesn't know ARM assembly optimizations, who can know ? We may need to include/install something else to use ARM5E_ASM or ARM4_ASM, or maybe this part of speex's code is not finished. I tried to compare both

Could someone please apply this patch to the Win32 support so that Morten and Jeff can handle the recent changes? I can't do it because I"m on the road with only email access. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Could anyone tell me how libspeex_armce.lib Speex 1.1.6 was compiled? (http://www.speex.org/download/libspeex_armce.lib ) Does it exist some modified fixed_arm5e.h for Microsoft EVC arm-asm compiler? or the inline assemlby was compiled with GCC and linked through EVC LINK.exe? if the latter was done could I know how to link with EVC ? PocketPC 2005/echo canceller
I finally solved my problem: My **static** speex library is compiled with: -D_LIB While I should compile it with: -D_USRDLL I'm not able to understand completely why: anyway, it now can be compiled without breaking anything. I'll now test wether the aec have an impact or not :) tks, Aymeric MOIZARD / ANTISIP amsip - http://www.antisip.com osip2 - http://www.osip.org eXosip2 -

If you want to test the AEC, I recommend using the svn version of Speex. Hi, I'm experiencing weird problems while testing speex (I want to test the echo canceller first) on PDA with WM5 version pocket PC 2005. Here is the strange scenario: 1-> App running without being linked with speex -> no problem 2-> App running while being linked with speex -> crash at always the same place. NO ACCESS TO

That's quite a strange problem. Considering that Speex doesn't have any "init code" (stuff that executes when it's loaded), there's no way this could be a bug in Speex. I see two likely possibilities (plus lots of unlikely): 1) A bug in your code. Linking with Speex pushes your code to a different place in memory and triggers the bug 2) A bug in Visual Studio. You can

Decoder performance on Windows Mobile 5
Hello, I'm trying to use the speex decoder on Windows Mobile 5. I have compiled the debug version of the lib for WM5 PPC. I am running this test on an HTC TyTn phone. I'm decoding 4Kbits narrowband speex audio. Each decode call takes a buffer of size 100 bytes. The problem is that each decode call takes around 130ms to complete. This is too slow for the audio to play back if I stream

Custom Extension halting execution upon caller hanging up
Hello, list! I'm having some trouble with A@H 2.7(?), Asterisk 1.2.5, inasmuch as my custom extension is not continuing execution when the caller hangs up. (Please excuse the sterilized output.) Here's how it's supposed to go: exten => 2,8,Monitor(wav,${TIMESTAMP}) exten => 2,9,Dial(SIP/Provider/8005551212) exten => 2,10,Macro(record-cleanup) If the caller hangs up

Win CE playback error
Hi, I have a module sampling raw PCM data on Win CE as 10ms time slice (160 bytes), mono, 8000HZ, 16 bits per sample. Does anyone know what is the mflops for using fixed point on a Win CE compared to using floating point? Looking at the manual, "In practice, frame_size will correspond to 20 ms when using 8, 16, or 32 kHz sampling rate." for a 8 kHz sampling, the framesize should be

Speex echo canceller creating some problems. No voice coming.
Hi, I am new to speex so please redirect me to some links if the question is repetative. Just for testing the echo canceller performance, I have added mdf,fftwrap,misc,kiss_fftr,kiss_fft source files to my project. Now In my multithread application when I receive packets from mice, I calls speex_echo_capture(echo_state, input_frame, output_frame,Youtput_frame) with input_frame as
