speex on Dell Axim X51v
Hi, Sorry to be posting about a subject that may have already been answered. If so, please point me in the right direction. I'm developing a dictation application on the Dell Axim (Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC). A key requirement of the application is the best possible sampling rate as the audio goes into a speech reco system. So, I've set up my wrapper around libspeex to capture audio

speex on Dell Axim X51v
Hi there, i'm not into speex internals but i feel that your problems are due to the fact that speex doesn't do yet fixed point operations and it seems that you lack FPU on your PDA. So i would expect a big boost in performances when the fixed point version of Speex will be out. Cheers, Luca On 8/20/06, Sunil <dualmax88@yahoo.com> wrote: > > Hi, > > Sorry to be

Can WINE help me using Dell Axim from Puppy Linux 511?
Since I'm new to this forum I probably I'm doing something wrong, I'm sorry if this's the case! I don't have a windows base system, solely Puppy Linux. I do have an Axim, though; can't do hardly anything useful with it since starting using just Linux. Went through many pages about WINE but failed to locate any useful info. That's the reason for posting my issue here.

Connection delay
Hi Can anyone help I am using Samba 2.2.2 on Sco Unix 5.06 The problem is that we have been using 1.9 for a long time to provide 2 networked drives for clients to use without any problems. Now that we have moved to 2.2.2 to make use of latest facilities ( not least allow W2000 clients) we get a problem that when the client boots their machine up any shares that are set to reconnect at login are

http://iplay.40th.com/faq_flac.html
At h_ttp://iplay.40th.com/faq_flac.html you can find info on what I use to play .flac on an Axim X50v Pocket PC (and an iPAQ 4155, 2215, X30, 3970, and...). In there, I go into how I've got GBs of portable storage, connected either by direct Wi-Fi or direct ethernet cable (necessary, obviously, considering the size of a flac). Remove the _ from h_ttp link. I do that because my mail program

Pocket PC
Howdy, I recently obtained a Dell Axim X30, running Windows Mobile 2003 SE. It totally refuses to connect to a Samba share due to authentication errors. The share is set up with clear text passwords and functions perfectly with a Win98 SE box. I have tried encrypted passwords and nt status support = no in the global section of my smb.conf. I am running Debian unstable, Samba 3.0.7-1.

USB Thumbdrive + dos ghost boot image + drive too small = confusion
I will really hate myself if this has already been solved, i searched the archives but didn't really find anything pertaining to it. I have a 2.88mb dos boot floppy image, with ghost.exe, dos nic drivers, and dos system files. It works fine when burnt to a cd. As for the thumbdrive when trying to configure this hpghost.ima file to run from my syslinux.cfg menu, it works and boots up fine but

Syslinux + USB + PE 2.0
I am having the darnedest of times trying to get my WinPE to work off the syslinux loader. I used to use isolinux, and my isolinux config would just invoke the etfsboot.com file which i had renamed to loader.bin, and everything would work just fine off a cd. But now I'm trying to transfer all of my cd functionality to thumbdrives. With Syslinux, i have my syslinux.cfg file calling loader.bin

Upsampling while decoding / Updating
The Opus resampler is actually a bugfixed version of the Speex one. Same interface/API, but with the bugs removed. It's why I recommended it :-) Otherwise I would have recommended something entirely different, like SoXR. Upsampling while decoding / Updating
I'm not using Opus at all. I'm just including its resampler in my own sources. It's not even a DLL; it's directly compiled together with the rest of my code. You need these sources from the opus-tools package (http://www.opus-codec.org/downloads/): arch.h resample.c resample_sse.h speex_resampler.h stack_alloc.h In your project file, define these macros: #define

read.xport issues
We are trying to read a sas export file into R. (Works fine on Mac by ftping the export file from solaris box and then importing to R with read.xport, this gives rational numbers etc.) Trying to do this on an IBM Power p655 running linux, reading the same sas export file as used on MAC, in this case the results are not rational. Many of the numbers are interpreted as INF etc. Is it possible

LiveVoip DTMF Issues
I have a couple of DID's with LiveVoip and am having major DTMF issues on incoming calls. I am connecting to them through IAX using ULAW. When someone dials one of these DD's (from a landline) they are for the most part unable to navigate the IVR menu successfuly. I would say the failure rate is greater than 80%. For example if the caller presses 5 sometimes * will see the DTMF as 55 or

Upsampling while decoding / Updating
Dear Nikos, thank you very much for your advice! I am not a little bit new to C++, and experiments (like using another third party library) always turn out to be days of work for me. That is why I would first like to try Speex's new internal resampling function. I am currently still using the old 1.0.4 version. I have now downloaded the new 1.2rc1 version. Unfortunately it does not want

[PATCH] Updating the ReplayGain documentation
In this topic on Hydrogen Audio(http://www.hydrogenaud.io/forums/index.php?showtopic=105586) someone asked a question about the sample rates that FLAC supports for ReplayGain. The outcome was that the current documentation of MetaFLAC is outdated since Commit http://git.xiph.org/?p=flac.git;a=commit;h=0554a4aee6966bc5b251364753ef85de72dfab19 because as of 1.3.0 FLAC supports Replaygain with many

Re: FLAC on Pocket PC
Josh Coalson wrote: > yeah, we'll need more info than that. Here is my test project then. To keep the zip small, I didn't put the flac files. Just copy the flac-1.1.0 directory into flactest (so that the path flac-1.1.0\include and flac-1.1.0\src exists in flactest). The project should then compile as is. All the code is in flactest.cpp. It's pretty basic. You'll have to
