Speex on TI C6x, Problem with TI C5x Patch
Hi Jean-Marc, Hi Jim, I have also seen some problems with the 1.1.8 release on the C55x. So far I have boiled down the issues to the following: 1) We need our own "fixed_xx.h" header file. I don't know why, and haven't had time to investigate, but there is a definite improvement when I use the attached fixed_c55x.h file which has turned all the maths into inline functions.

Minor fixed point scaling problem
First, let me say that I think the speex code is incredible in the way it supports floating and fixed point code from one set of code. The same is true for supporting multiple processors, etc... I've used speex with the PC, TI 64xx and 55xx. Please view the following comments not as an attack on speex (which I think is incredible!) but as my contribution to an open source project. I know

Videoconference one-to-many
Dear all, I've implemented an Asterisk 1.4 with SIP service for voip and video. So I can establish a voip + video connection *one-to-one* only....it works OK. But I'd like to implement a videoconference *one-to-many* in order to intercommunicate many clients, is it possible with Asterisk 1.4 ??? (multicast is better than brodcast in this situation of course) Thanks a lot, Alejandro

OPUS examples questions
Dear all, I am new to OPUS and I am trying to do an evaluation of OPUS. I have tried the examples at the following link: http://www.opus-codec.org/examples/ [image: Inline images 1] Regarding these 3 audio samples, I have not dicovered the description over frame size and complexity level. Can you please tell me what is the frame size and complexity used in these audio sample when you perform

Xen/XCP on Ubuntu 12.04 Server keyboard problems
I have installed xcp/xen on ubuntu 12.04 server using the instructions found here: http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/XCP_toolstack_on_a_Debian-based_distribution It seems to be running correctly and I can access it using XenCenter and create and run vm''s. However, the keyboard doesn''t work in the vm console. The mouse works fine, but no keyboard. I have tried a vm with Windows 7 64

anyone from Joplin, MO
I'm trying to convince my employer to deploy an Asterisk based system, but one member of the leadership team is against it. The rest of the team is for it, but he's convinced them that we should find other organisations in the Joplin, MO area who are using Asterisk first because, "we don't want to be the first in our area." I can't fathom how that's relevant, since

Speex + Ogg package
sorry, no webchat, is a videoconference program. And I'm using UDP as you can read down on the mail. The problem is that speex packages alone work great, but to split speex/theora packages on the arrive I need to use some kind of container, and I'm trying ogg. Attempting to shrink speex: Are these functions necessary?
Hi, I am using speex 1.2beta2 on a narrowband 16-bit, 8khz system that has a severe program space problem and will not fit speex in its normal operation. In an attempt to shrink speex I placed a breakpoint in every function and ran a decode and encode and removed the breakpoints that I hit. in the functions that had a breakpoint that I didn't hit I commented out those functions (as well as

configure bug
This was dicovered in openssh-2.9p2 on BSDi 4.1. If you configure --with-ssl-dir and give a relative path (like ../openssl-0.9.6b), it will not compile because that path is no longer valid once it cds to openbsd-compat. In the CPPFLAGS variable in openbsd-compat/Makefile, you can put in another ../ (-I../openssl-0.9.6a/include becomes -I../../openssl-0.9.6a/include) and it works. Perhaps there

out of sample predictions using a probit model
hello all, I am a beginner at R and not exactly a statistician either. I'm messing around with a probit model on an enconomic time series. I can get the model estimated but I have not been able to get it to give me predictions out of sample data. I'm using the predict function but getting errors. Here is my code: #predict a recession 12 months out #k=12 means 12 months forward #dates

Attempting to shrink speex: Are these functions necessary?
for the bits init I am using speex_bits_set_bit_buffer and I don't use the write to or read from because the data is already in the buffer I am reading from and I am writing to the final buffer so I don't need to move arrays around. what part is the vocoder part of the decode? Thanks for your help! -Mike >>> Jean-Marc Valin <jean-marc.valin@usherbrooke.ca> 08/06/07

Attempting to shrink speex: Are these functions necessary?
I'm glad to hear that my data size can be shrunk considerably, however I do not know the minimum values that I would set the static arrays to be. I hate to be a bother but could you tell me the minimum values for these arrays/structures in the state structure? Thanks! encode: stack winBuf excBuf swBuf lagWindow old_lsp old_qlsp mem_sp mem_sw mem_sw_whole mem_exc mem_exc2 pi_gain pitch

T.38 Faxing and Asterisk
I understand that Asterisk 1.4 should support T.38 pass-through, but I need Asterisk (or something on the Asterisk box) to act as a T.38 endpoint. Judging from the unclaimed $12,000USD bounty, it doesn't appear that Asterisk itself can do this. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+T.38+Bounty Does anyone have any experience with this, or are able to point to an example of this working?

Hello - I am using kernel 2.4.27 and running into behavior I don''t know how to explain. I have 2 relevant interfaces. eth0 is external, eth1 is internal. My internal LAN is 10.10.10.0/24. My External range is 1.2.3.0/27 (dummied up). I have an H.323 videoconference device inside my internal LAN, but at IP Address 1.2.3.11/27. (IP Address dummied up.) I want to proxy ARP this
