patch: libsvg/libsvg-cairo to librsvg
Greetings everybody! I've created a patch to get compiz (upstream about 2 hours old) away from libsvg and libsvg-cairo. Those two libraries, which are regarded as "dead meat" by their initial developer Carl Worth, are replaced with librsvg 2.14.x (e.g. part of Gnome 2.14.x) by this patch. The patch is rather small and only touches these three files: compiz/configure.ac

Error in compiling Speexdec code (Speex-1.1.5 code) on Windows using VC++6.0
Hi, I've downloaded the Speex-1.1.5 code and am trying to compile the Speexdec code using Microsoft VC++ 6.0 IDE. When I try to open the speexdec.dsw workspace, I get a dialog asking to locate the ogg_static file. I simply cancel that message, and then the project is opened in the VC++ 6.0 IDE. Now, when I simply try to compile the program, I receive this 5 error messages. error1.

The Cautionary Tale of Multi-Arch glib
I'm mainly writing this in hopes that it gets picked up by Google in case anyone else runs into this problem. I was going to distribute the source & binaries for the first sneaky- peek at Swfdec for Mac OS X today. But yesterday, when I tried running my player application within Mac OS X's PowerPC emulator (Rosetta), I noticed it was crashing in some animations with the

MSVC project updates
One more set of MSVC project updates. Changed ogg_static.lib to libogg_static.lib as that's the name latest version uses. Removed MSVC 6.0 related parts from README and tweaked info there to be more up-to-date. Also changed nasmw.exe into nasm.exe as nasmw.exe has been long gone. LibFLAC_dynamic was complaining in debug mode about conflicts with libcmt, I excluded it from the project

After downloading the nightly snapshot last night, I've spent a good part of the day trying to build the package with Borland C++Builder 4. I have some things to report, and also need some help. [Note: this message is long and messy :)] {Converting DSP files to BPR files} I made the necessary BPR files from the DSP files with the Visual C++ Project Conversion Utility. This works okay

Gstreamer Help?
I have this program called ChemDraw that I use for school. It was working great yesterday in WINE 1.3.26. Then I get the bright idea to upgrade 1.3.27. Now ChemDraw doesn't work. So I'm trying to compile WINE 1.3.26 from source so that I can run ChemDraw in 1.3.26. I get this error when trying to compile 1.3.26: > configure: gstreamer-0.10 base plugins 32-bit development files not

[ThinLTO] Reducing imported debug metadata
A couple weeks ago I sat down with David Blaikie to figure out what we could trim when importing debug metadata during function importing. I have a prototype that reduces the resulting .o sizes significantly with ThinLTO -g. However, I ran into some issues when cleaning up part of this in preparation for a patch. Since Mehdi indicated that he and Adrian were going to be looking at this as well
