Major internal changes, TI DSP build change
> The C5x and C6x output diverges in build 10143, which has log message "lpc > floor converted to fixed-point." Also, the measured SNR changed from 11.05 > in builds 9854-10141 to 9.22 and 9.24 in 10143. Actually, build 10143 introduced another bug, that was the reason for the 1.1.11.1 release. > There is just four lines in modes.c which declare the constant, and one

Speex Example Build for TI DSP C54x C55x C6x DSPs
The attached file contains build files for TI's Code Composer Studio (CCS) for the C54x, C55x, and C6x DSPs. I had intended to post this a couple of months ago, but it took a long time to get around to doing the little bit of cleanup required. This is a file I/O loopback application suitable for running with the CCS simulators, for evaluating memory and MIPs requirements for these

samba 3 accented names case mangling with win 98
Hi all, banging my head on the wall here... I think I'll never really understand codepages stuff. smbd is v 3.0.1, client is french win98 - yuk my smb.conf reads: unix charset = UTF-8 display charset = UTF-8 dos charset = CP850 when I create a folder/file with accents in it, I can create it ok, but reading proves impossible. If i create file ??????, it shows ok in the file explorer

cpsups : segfault
Hi, I'm running a Debian server (amd64) with the latest nut package (2.0.3-4). The server is connected to a Cyberpower OP750E ups. This seems to be connectable using nut with the cpsups driver. I've configured /etc/nut/ups/conf with the correct information. Here is what i get when trying to load the driver : serveurmeteo:/home/did# /sbin/upsdrvctl -v start myups Network UPS Tools -

ia64 build failure - no fork or ppoll syscalls in 2.6.16
klibc fails to build on ia64 because it has neither fork nor the ppoll syscalls. This patch marks the former in SYSCALLS.def, and puts a guard wrapper around the ppoll definition in ppoll.c Should these calls return ENOSYS rather than simply not existing on some systems? If yes, please apply this and I'll follow up with a patch shortly that does ENOSYS for this and pselect at least.

1.1.6 is out
Hi, Just to let you know version 1.1.6 is out. Changes are: * Improved jitter buffer (now actually works!) * Denoiser tuning * Improved echo canceller (please send feedback) * Support for Symbian OS (thanks to Conrad Parker) * Gapless playback for speexenc/speexdec * Run-time identification of Speex version with a new speex_lib_ctl() call * Moved the includes to /usr/include/speex/ Jean-Marc

Speex for TI 5509 DSP
The patch is still valid, though it may require minor adjustments. Although support could be improved (optimizations, codebook packing), the patch should at least allow Speex to run on a C55. fixed point speex on a texas dsp + real timeacquizition
"Do you mean doing that on a DSP, or on a PC (before you do it on DSP)?" Yes I want do that with a PC in order to test if I can encode in real time an external audio source and then I want to implemente SPEEX in a dSP. guillaume Jean-Marc Valin a écrit : > > I want to know if it is possible to do a real time acquizition and to > > compresse in real time the audio input

Bug#391935: The answer from Citrix & Xen.org
Hi, I simply asked to upstream for a clarification on the use of the Xen trademark, and received two unambiguous answers. From Citrix: Actually, for the community, you can do whatever you like. The FIT test only applies to commercially distributed Xen products - and is about ensuring compatibility between vendors. Do you need more detail than that?

Major internal changes, TI DSP build change
Jean-Marc, Here are the patches, broken out one per file. I did some additional work in the testenc files based on Peter Mlakar's post to make it easier (though still a bit klunky) to try different rates. These changes also incorporate the file window.c into the builds, change the decoder startup delay to account for the change in the algorithm delay from 10ms to 5ms, and change bits.c

app_conference(Asterisk) with Speex
Just curious, how does Asterisk pack Speex frames in a packet. AFAIK, Linphone just sends raw packets, as specified in the RTP draft. Re: Patch, related to TI DSP C54x C55x C6x builds
Hi Jim, Thank for the patch. I'll apply it when I have a few minutes. If I haven't done so after a few weeks, please send it again. I'm in the process of relocating to Australia, so everything's a bit of a mess around here. Also, please post the c5X-specific files to the list (.cmd, .pjt, ...) so they'll be archived. Last thing, I see you defined spx_word64_t as long long for
