Little question about imq device
Witam I''ve found many examples where packets are redirected to IMQ device in PREROUTING chain for ingress traffic shaping purposes. But is there any sense in redirecting packets to IMQ in FORWARD chain also for ingress traffic shaping purposes? -- Pozdrawiam Marcin mailto:slacklist@op.pl _______________________________________________ LARTC

I'm still having a delay in the transmit if the receivers end is a slow network. Hence i am looking forward to use speex codec to compress the audio further before transmitting. Is there is any one who as implemented it? If so, please send me an example code so

configurable sieve_max_redirects
Witam Sieve implementation in dovecot 1.2 have hard-coded limit for max redirect: SIEVE_DEFAULT_MAX_REDIRECTS 4. I have to rise this to much higher value, e.g. 64. Is there possibility to do this another way than recompiling source? Maybe adding an option to dovecot.conf in plugin section will be a good idea. -- Pozdrowienia Maciej Polewczynski Registered Linux user #117725 OGICOM Sp.

Question about granulepos in packets
I've got a question about the granulepos in speex packets. >From the speex manual (http://www.speex.org/manual2/node7.html#SECTION00073000000000000000): >The third and subsequent packets each contain one or more (number found in header) Speex frames. These are identified with packetno starting from 2 and the granulepos is the number of the last sample encoded in that packet. In

HW-Speex: Fileformat and encoding process
Hi I have just written a small c programm which reads in speex files and outputs them as asci text numbers. This is necessary as for writing a hw testbench for decoding tests, since thy only read ascii files :-(.I can't read the bitrate properly from the header file. It's allways -1. Please see example below and attached c programm. I wan't to check for a fixed bitrate (8000).

Weird problem with maximum upload speed on Windows
Witam, I had very big problem since last Friday. I noticed that clients with Windows can''t upload faster than ~140kB/s at one connection ( ftp http). It''s quite weird because when I do exactly the same test (the same server, time, computer, client ip address, even switch and port) but on Linux upload speed is much bigger. Very interesting is that this is always something about

dcc irc sessions
Witam Anybody know how to deal with dcc irc sessions? I want to put them to lower priority queue, but i dont know how to track them, and then mark to use with fw filter. I tried iptables with -m helper --helper irc, but it seems to match only outgoing dcc sessions. But what about incoming? I''m shaping traffic from and to my small, NATed lan. -- Pozdrawiam Marcin

Suggestion.
Hi, I''m new to the list. I intend to learn about some Linux Networking features to help myself and others. I''m looking to control the bandwidth in my office. Basically there are like 20 computers, a 2MB Adsl Line. And I would love to let them only use a certain amount of bandwidth. For example let every client use 20KB of internet bandwidth of the 210KB we can download
