Problems to compile speex 1.1.10 on windows
I am a delphi coder and i have successfully compiled version 1.0.5 to use the resulting dll in John Villars Delphi-Example with Bloodsheds dev-c++. With the stable version 1.0.5 it works fine but on my slow computer with 900Mz I have a lot of buffer overflows. Therefore I should like to create a dll with version 1.1.10 because it should be faster but i run into a lot of problems. I am not

Problems to compile speex 1.1.10 on windows
Why not use gcc? You can get either mingw or cygwin. Otherwise I don't know. Speex should compile with a C++ compiler with only minor tweaks (forcing the compiler to accept the C casts). wine on powerpc report
Hi, list. I know this information won't be useful to most of you. I'm getting this error: preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00010000-00110000 err:dosmem:setup_dos_mem Cannot use first megabyte for DOS address space, please report I'm running wine 1.0.1 on a linux powerpc box. The error doesn't affect the applications I tried (winecfg, winemine, a flash PE binary...).

Speex DLL wrapper looking.
Dear Sirs, I'm looking for the DLL version of Speex, to study very quickly the possible integration of this interesting voice oriented CODEC into our application. We develop, mainly, in Delphi. We use C++ only to develop firmware for our RF transcievers. I saw on the Speex.org website that there is a Delphi program\porting, but this dll is missing there. Can you help me about this? It will

Hi I don't have the tools (or the ability) to compile the speex.dll as required in the delphi sample. Could someone maybe point me to a site or contact where I can get hold of this dll and other related files. Problems with Speex echo canceller in 1.1.10
I'm having trouble getting the echo canceller to work and I'm hoping some one can get me started in diagnosing what's going on. The symptoms I'm seeing are these: 1. If the NES is silence (i.e., no echo, no speech), the ec puts the FES back into the audio. 2. If the NES is similar to the FES (same speech words), the ec doesn't seem to remove the echo. 3. For case #2, I pushed

History of FLAC Frontend?
Hi all, Lots of bugs and support requests in the sourceforge tracker are related to the FLAC frontend, which is bundled with FLAC for Windows with the installer. However, I couldn't find it in git. I really thought the FLAC frontend was part of the project, but it seems it is some piece of freeware last updated 10 years ago: http://members.home.nl/w.speek/index.htm Is this true? Anyone

Speex on M3 for a device for a disabled person to use
Hi Tristan, well... if speed is really his problem (and looking at those 72 MHz it probably is), wouldn't Speek surpass Opus by far? I agree that Opus is way better, but it's sadly also using more resources... But yeah, Richard you should give Opus a try if possible ;) It's generally easier to use then Speex and also more feature rich. Yours sincerely, Ren? Sch?mann *From:*

memory allocation questions
Dear R-devel This one seems a bit arcane for R-help. I very often use R to call routines written in Delphi (son of Pascal), doing "persistent" memory allocation within Delphi. That is, I start R and load the Delphi DLL; then I use .C to call a Delphi routine which allocates a piece of memory X and returns to R a pointer to X; then I do some more stuff in R; then I call another Delphi

ntlm_auth from pppd help
Hello all, I am working on a VPN solution using FC3-2.6.12-1.1381 - openswan 2.4.4-1 - l2tpd 0.69-13 - pppd 2.4.3-5 - samba 3.0.10-1. When attempting a connection from an XP-SP2 box pppd dies without authenticating the user (see below). I have run ntlm_auth from the command line with success. What tools can I use to identify the failure? Is there an obvious error in the ppp options file?

Runing win32 Delphi applications with wine ?
Hello list reader, Did people succed in trying to run Delphi applications with wine ??? Well, if they didn't work we can always try to use kylix to get them work. But I suspect that we will have to go with lot of rewriting because of the type of these applications : graphical intensive ones. Any ideas about that ? Thanks ! Guy

WINE x Delphi BDE + MSSQL Client
Hi, I have an app with Delphi7 + MSSQL, developed during 10 years. Now, the users have asked me about some way to run this app into Linux Fedora Core 2/3. I use Fedora for apps in Java with no problems, but I never heard about Delphi run. I look at WineHQ site about this combination of Delphi + MSSQL but I didn't find. I found some thing about Delphi 7 install and slow behaviour in

external pointers
I have some C data I want to pass back to R opaquely, and then back to C. I understand external pointers are the way to do so. I'm trying to find how they interact with garbage collection and object lifetime, and what I need to do so that the memory lives until the calling R process ends. Could anyone give me some pointers? I haven't found much documentation. An earlier message
