Checksum property change does not change pre-existing data - right?
My understanding is that if I "zfs set checksum=<different>" to change the algorithm that this will change the checksum algorithm for all FUTURE data blocks written, but does not in any way change the checksum for previously written data blocks.
I need to corroborate this understanding. Could someone please point me to a document that states this? I have searched and searched

Greater OS X integration
Okay, I'd like to start first by saying, awesome work on this project! It's been a few years since I last tracked the progress of WINE on OS X, and it's come on leaps and bounds as I can run most everything I've thrown at it so far, with only minor issues here and there, which is a damned sight better than VMWare Fusion or Parallels which have compatibility issues everywhere,

Disable Client Certificate Authentication for Unencrypted Connections?
I?m using dovecot to provide encrypted IMAP e-mail support for remote clients and it?s working great. However, I also need to set up a webmail front-end (Roundcube), which I?m hoping to have use unencrypted IMAP on port 143 (as only port 993 is available externally).
The problem I?m running into is that I want to require client certificate authentication on port 993, but dovecot is apparently

Setting Recent Flag on New Messages?
So I?m looking at setting up some house-keeping for my dovecot mailboxes, specifically deleting messages in trash, spam etc., by deleting Seen messages older than X days.
In order to protect against the edge case of a user reading a message right before the deletion task however I?d like to do something like the following:
doveadm expunge -A OLD SEEN BEFORE 7d MAILBOX Trash
doveadm flags -A

ogg "chapters"?
i'm thinking about albums like "dark side of the moon" and also live bands
(especially live-pa) and DJs where there's a continuous flow from one song
to the next...
i could use a MKV file with vorbis or mp3 and include a chapter listing
[with named chapters], that would allow listening to the whole thing with
no skipping between songs. at the same time, a listener can skip

inefficient: --checksum calculation shouldn't be done for new files
When --checksum is used they're calculated in both ends to see if the
file should be transfered. This is of course not necessary if the file
doesn't exist in the destination. However, the checksum is still
calculated by the sender, which is often a very large overhead.
Would it be possible to avoid it?
