Migrate GPO policies does not work properly.
Hi,
I migrated from my the main domain controller.I use Centos 7 server with
tranquilrepository.
The destination server is a test enviorement with different domain name
but the same system specifications.
I can browse the sysvol network share without any problem.
If i want to check the sam.ldb file on the test server I got these errors.

On my server I use the following rpm packages, installed from the
tranquil.it repository.

Hi,
After I have updated my SAMBA AD environment from version 4.9.18 to
version 4.10.12 on my secondary server the program is unable to start
and displays the following error message:"ERROR:failed to setup profiling".
The testparm result didn't print any warning or error.

probably auth problem
Hi,
I am using samba 4.1.7 as Domain Controller. Actually I have two samba
servers DC1 and DC2. DC1 is the primary DC and DC2 joined as another DC.
We use the Active Directory for a couple of weeks. The directory
replication works fine, and a sysvol replication works with rsync. (I
set it up based on the samba wiki). But I have a problem with the
authentication. If I log in to a windows

gpo client linux sssd does not apply
Hello Samba Team, how are you?
I'm joining linux clients in the company's environment and I would like to
apply GPOs to linux clients, I'm in the testing phase.
I'm testing with ubuntu clients version 22.04 and the software I used to
join the samba AD was sssd.
The 22.04 ubuntu client has joined and everything is working fine except
for the GPOs for linux clients.
I compiled

Is Server-side GPO Configuration possible? (for logon script)
Is it possible to make GPO changes from the server (i.e. without using
Windows) ?
I would like to include some configuration in my build-out script and
wonder if it is possible. Specifically, I am trying to provide a logon
script. Here's what I know.
1. I can identify the correct GPO GUID object using "samba-tool gpo
listall" or with something like this
$ ldbsearch -H

GPO not getting updated on Windows 10
Hi,
Our Domain controller environment is working for over 6 years without a
break. It started with Samba Version 4.6.5 and today running 4.18.5. We
have only Windows 10 clients across our organisation.
Off late, we have observed that GPOs are not getting updated when we
change some GPOs and link them to some specific OUs. For example,
previously, we had not allowed one specific network path

strange gpo behaviour
-- 3 samba 4.10.2 DC's, binaries compiled from tarballs on Debian stretch
-- 2 DC's are on the same (main office) LAN, one is at another location
vpn'ed to the main office
-- randomly windows 10 pc's will not be able to complete a gpupdate
(repeated tries) with no consistency as to solutions. Sometimes the pc's
can't connect to the \\dc\sysvol\local.somedomain.com
