Is the "tcp time stamp validation issue" fixed in 5.4?
Hello I'm a bit confused about the "tcp time stamp validation bug" mentioned in the http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/637934 advisory. FreeBSD has fixed this issue in -current (2005-04-10) and in RELENG_5 (2005-04-19). Is this also already fixed in 5.4? The CVS ID for tcp_input.c does not look like this. But I'm not sure. audit problems
Hi! I'm experiencing some problems configuring audit on 6.2-RELEASE system. It doesn't seem to log anything except login messages. The only thing I've modified in config is the root user specification in audit_users. Now it looks like this: root:lo,ex,fw,fc:no However nor ex, non fw or fc messages doesn't get into the log. Furthermore, deleting lo from audit_users and

freebsd 7 and areca controller
Hi. I'm looking at deploying a freebsd 7-release server with some storage attached to an areca ARC-1680 controller. But this card is not mentioned in 'man 4 arcmsr' (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=arcmsr&sektion=4&manpath=FreeBSD+7.0-RELEASE). Areaca's website does mention freebsd as a supported OS (http://www.areca.com.tw/products/pcietosas1680series.htm). Has

imap service not working
Hi! I'm using dovecot-1.0.rc7 with pop3 and imap. The pop3 is ok, really, no problem at all. With imap, I have the following problem: From the client side it looks like it logs in - logs out - logs in - logs out... can not see any emails or directories. From the server side, I can see these in the logs: dovecot: Aug 26 22:29:00 Info: auth(default): client in: AUTH 1 PLAIN

access samba member server from trusted domain
Hi all, the samba server is a _member_ of DOMA. The windows client is in DOMB. There is a two way trust between the domains. With a client in DOMA samba works fine. If I configure security=server I can find in "Search Computer" the samba but I can't access it with windows error 67. If I configure security=domain I can not find it, but I can access it with "net use". Is

Asterisk slow transferring calls
Hi, Running Asterisk CVS-Head latest on a Dual P3 800 1Gb Ram. For some odd reason now that I have the asterisk box almost to the stage I want it, I hit a problem. I have a te405p in the system, Zap/g1 is connected to the telco as an ISDN 30, Zap/g4 is connected by ISDN Primary Rate to an Ericcson BP250 phone system. When calls come in on g1 they go straight through instantaneously to the

Recovering a broken mirror
We have a production SunFireV240 that had a zfs mirror until this week. One of the drives (c1t3d0) in the mirror failed. The system was shutdown and the bad disk replaced without an export. I don''t know what happened next but by the time I got involved there was no evidence that the remaining good disk (c1t2d0) had ever been part of a ZFS mirror. Using dd on the raw device I can see data

read.fwf; bug reports 8226 & 8236 (PR#8284)
It seems to me that the bug dealt with in bug reports 8226 and 8236 is still not fixed. I obtained the revised version of read.fwf from the latest R-patched and tried try.it <- read.fwf("junk",w,header=TRUE,as.is=TRUE) This gave the error Error in read.table(file = FILE, header = header, sep = sep, as.is = as.is, : more columns than column names Inspection of file

read.fwf doesn't work with header = TRUE (PR#8226)
Full_Name: Emmanuel Paradis Version: 2.1.1 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (193.49.41.105) read.fwf(..., header = TRUE) does not work properly since: 1/ the original header is printed on the console and not in FILE; 2/ the different 'parts' of the header should be separated with tabs to work with the call to read.table. Here is a suggested fix for src/library/utils/R/read.fwf.R:
