Samba4 computers not on W10 Network
Hai, There is some work done here, see: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11473 Maybe an extra ping on it. Would be nice to have it in 4.11. since its directly related to/with SMB1. Hi Marco, the fact that win 10 fails where access from win 7 succeeds makes me wonder whether it is because of tightened security of windows 10, in particular I suspect disabled smb 1. Thus you should probably not try to make windows 10 succeed the same way but look at your security issue. Lowering the security might actually open an attack vector in your provisioning process. Best Regards,

Samba4 computers not on W10 Network
My Samba4 computers (DC's & member server) are not shown within W10 File Explorer Network. Only the other workstations appear. I believe this is due to smb1 being depreciated. All the folder redirection still works, gpo, etc. Domain users can log in. What do I need to adjust so these machines appear in smb2? (I know this has been talked about before sorry.) -- Thank you. OK, good hint but... for test users we have created by hand the profiles folders, so surely the script is not the culprit... Anyway, thanks. -- dott. Marco Gaiarin GNUPG Key ID: 240A3D66

Hello, i got some clients (WINDOWS7 and WINDOWS10) to connect to samba shares. OS is openSUSE 12.2; 13.1; 42.1 Samba-Version: 3.6.7; 4.1.22; 4.2.4 smb.conf is shown below. The samba setup is a workgroup setup, the W7-clients are set up to the workgroup 'workgroup'.
