Ubuntu Bionic samba 4.9.11 and 4.10.6 are now available. (amd64/i386)
Hi Louis,
Thanks a lot for providing that service. I do have unattended-upgrades active, but it didn?t pull your new version. I guess it is because your repository is not listed as a repo to be considered for automated upgrades, but I am struggling with what exactly into the list Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins. I tried "deb:bionic-samba410"; but that didn?t do the trick...
Thanks,

Hai,
Well, not exactly, if you coming from source builds.
In that case is suggest.
Pick a repo line matching your self compiled samba.
If thats a 4.9, choose the 4.9 repo line to add to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/van-belle.list file.
Stop the self compiled samba version.
Disable starting the selfcompiled samba.
Reboot you server to make sure nothing has openfiles, or check this manualy.

Debian Stretch, Samba 4.10.2, 4.9.6 and 4.8.11 Available (amd64/i386)
Hi,
short question - when running "samba -V" I recieve a version of:
Version 4.10.2-Ubuntu
But my OS running is Debain 9.8 (stretch) amd64.
My entry within sources.list is:
deb http://apt.van-belle.nl/debian stretch-samba410 main contrib non-free
Is this correct / wanted behavior (that version reporting back is 'Ubuntu'
even for debian)?
I think within the last version
