Problem achieving manual synchronisation of idmap.ldb and the associated User and Group ID mappings between two Samba 4 AD DCs
Hi Rowland!
No, I haven't synced my SysVol yet. I was following the official
tutorial here,
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Samba_DC_to_an_Existing_Active_Directory.
This tutorial appears to suggest that idmap.ldb files should be
synchronised first prior to setting up any rsync SysVol synchronisation.
Thanks
Stephen

Setting up Second Samba DC samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset fails
Hi List!
I am working my way through getting familiar with samba and I have two
domain controllers now with an additional samba file server.
The servers are CentOS 7.4.1708;
the domain controllers are built from source with samba-4.7.1;
and the file server, installed winbind, smb and nmb from CentOS repos.
My problem is after bringing up the second domain controller and
successfully joining it

Hello,
I deleted some GPOs via ADUC. After that I also deleted the folder for each
GPO. I do not know if that was correct to do! :(
Now when I run the samba-tool command ntacl sysvolreset, the following
error occurs.
root at DC1:~# samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset

Can't create/update Group Policy in Samba 4.6.5
Hi,
My DC doesn't know domains users and groups by name, only by uid/gid.
Ex: chmod mike:'EMPRESA\unix_admins' test
chown: invalid group mike:EMPRESA\\unix_admins
if run with GID work properly
chmod mike:30059 test
drwxr-xr-x 2 root 30059 4096 Jul 6 00:17 test
There is unix_admins group
wbinfo --gid-info 30059
EMPRESA\unix_admins:x:30059:
