Hai,
Your missing samba-dsdb-modules in the install.
And if you need extra vfs modules, dont forget to install samba-vfs-modules

ldbsearch fails due to LDB_MODULES_PATH not set, is it critical for ADDC operation?
I suggest he runs :
rpm -q samba samba-* lib?db*
And post that, looks to me he is missing the samba-dsdb-modules and maybe samba-vfs-modules also.
But i dont know much about Fedora..

How to create an NS record
My dns (bind9) server for my Samba AD has messed up. W10 workstations
are having connection issues to say the least.
When I dig into the Sambawiki documentation regarding
/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End/ the first thing I notice is the change that
occurred at Samba v4.8.0. That is the change of
"|/usr/local/samba/_private_/named.conf|" to

samba-tool backup offline not available (version 4.9.6) ?
Hello,
I've just upgraded to 4.9.6 and can't seem to be able to use the
'offline' backup? It seems that the only options are: online, rename,
and backup.
Can someone confirm this?
I plan to get to migrating to 4.10.2, but I'm doing it incrementally:
v4.7.6 -> v4.8.11 -> v4.9.6 -> v4.10.2
Before going to the v4.10.2, I want to backup my AD database using

ldbsearch fails due to LDB_MODULES_PATH not set, is it critical for ADDC operation?
Hello,
ldbsearch -H .... fails with a message that samba_dsdb
is not found and LDB_MODULES_PATH needs to be set.
Fixing it temporarily with:
export LDB_MODULES_PATH=/usr/lib64/samba/ldb
allows ldbseach command to work.
Is it critical for ADDC operation though?
[root at feddc ~]# rpm -q samba libldb ldb-tools samba-dc

bind9 dlopen/dlz problems [update]
Hi,
just a short update on this issue:
By using strace and having a look at the source code, I found the
reason for the named error:
Accessing samba database via ldapi requires the use of ildap.so
(samba ldb module, which is not located in "standard ldb modules
path"). Just setting LDB_MODULES_PATH to the directory containing
it makes named start:

Hi!
Sorry my late answer. I did run the sysvolcheck/reset commands and
everything seems fine.
On my server I use the following rpm packages, installed from the

samba 4.7.3 DLZ performance regression
Hello,
I'm seeing a huge performance regression with Samba 4.7.3 DLZ and BIND
9.8.2rc1-RedHat-9.8.2-0.62.rc1.el6_9.4. If I remove DLZ external DNS
requests are a few ms. If it is enabled then internal and external DNS
requests are a 1-3 seconds or timeout. Downgrading BIND had no effect.
I reverted just the DLZ modules back to 4.7.0 and performance is back to
normal:
# cp
