Missing 'security' tab
Hi, I try to formulate the question better! :) I’ve successfully joined an ubuntu 16.04 machine, as member server, to an active directory domain Windows server 2012 R2 following the instructions in the wiki.samba.org “Setting up Samba as a Domain Member” now I set the acls using Windows acl on a share. For that I followed the instruction in the “Setting up a Share Using Windows ACLs” in the wiki.

ah... ok, now i understand.   So you have a small difference between these to servers. My first guess would be something with vfs_objects.  Wrong orders might hide the security tab in windows.   Your setting up windows ACL's. Remove all posix related setttings from smb.conf ( im asking Rowland for support here, because om on holiday in 20 min  )  :-P :-)) ...   All you need for a windows

Have you checked it??  You know the phrase "bit decay" so mayby you "see" the correct setting but in the registry its not correct. I apologize overturned the sentence, rewrite it properly! I explain better: I have another linux machine added to the domain but from the same windows stain to which I log in with a domain admins account, if I connect to this other machine I see the tab security but if I connect to this machine I do not see the tab security Inviato da Posta per Windows 10 Da: Rowland Penny via samba Inviato:

R: cannot list/access samba share from Windows client
Thanks for the rapid reply! I think the problem was in the server role options I’ve modified it in “server member” and now I’m able to list the shares under \\linuxserver from any domain user authenticated in a Windows pc AD member. But now 1. Execute computer management from a Windows domain member client as a domain admin user (run as com_spoleto\rossetti.admin that is a “domain admins” member

I still have this problem can anyone help me to solve or troubleshoot it? I also have another samba member server apparently identical (and apparently configured identical) that instead work well. pickup problem on Asterisk 1.2.4
Hi everybody, I'm facing a strange problem after upgrading Asterisk from 1.0.9 to 1.2.4. Sometimes, when receiving an incoming call from pstn, although my sip phones ring correctly (I've got both softphones and hardware phones), noone can pick up the call. Asterisk CLI shows me that the phones are ringing, then nothing happens, so there's no problem _after_ someone picked up, simply

cannot list/access samba share from Windows client
Hi, I have a problem to list/access share from Windows client to share hosted on samba domain member server. I followed the instruction from https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member step by step but I used sssd instead of winbind for the authentication method. The Linux samba server is an Ubuntu server 16.04 and I successfully added this samba server to a awindows

Of course is not; /opt/shares/geoportale-lizmap belongs to / > /dev/mapper/ubuntugis01--vg-root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered) It should read like this: /dev/mapper/ubuntugis01--vg-root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered,acl,user_xattr) Edit /etc/fstab, add those 2 options then reboot (or remount). php agi configuration issue
Hi all, I would like to eliminate about 150 lines in log /var/log/messages) every time a call is placed/received If I type, on the asterisk console, set verbose 0 the lines in the log disappear, but it appears to me too drastic as a method.... The lines shown in the log don't appear (at least to me) very critical: no problems at all are shown. Isn't any way to turn off this debug ? I
